In 6mm scale, that means a human is roughly 6mm in height, right? If so, then 1 foot= 1mm, right?

Of course, I'm not talking about ground scale, but specifically got terrain. If I want to represent a 50 foot tall tree, I can make it 50mm tall, right?

Or am I way off?

Well that's the scale I've always gone by 1mm = 1 foot, it does for most situations.

Yes, 6mm = 6 feet ... so generally everything else like vehicles and terrain, etc., basically reflects that. Or should. As we know in many case not just GW/FW, but GZG and a few others, the vehicles may sometimes be too small for the Infantry. But ... we all deal with and work with it ... ^-^

I'm not so sure this is the case really, imagine a compact car at epic scale, it would be about 5mm tall, 6mm wide and about 12mm long, 4 adults can (just about) comfortably fit inside that.... a GW epic scale rhino is about what, 18-20 feet long, 8-9 feet high and 15 feet wide? I'd have no problem believing 10 basketball players could fit inside a vehicle that size ;)

Yes but you're not genetically enhanced human giant wearing full space armor and kitted in full battle kit either. I've got little issue with say a Chimera which isn't all that far off an actual IFV. Marine vehicles are silly though.

As long as we're griping about SM vehicles, I gotta ask: why genetically modify a fearless super infantryman, clad him in very expensive power armor, then... stick him in a tank? Especially when you only have a 1000 of them. Just sayin'.

Don't try to make any sense or logic out of much of what GW does ... it's an exercise in futility ... ;) 8)

Why use a tank? You've got the ultimate orbital superiority platform. Any army mustering can easy be dealt with a kinetic strike. "Oh what's that? You're gathering to attack that city? Oh we've got guns the size of skyscrapers in geostationary orbit you say? Yes, of course. Send the infantry down to fight...with chainsaws" ;D

editorial edit: yeah yeah yeah invincible technilofgical marvel armors and force fields yada yada yada. ::) Herbert did it right; GW, not so much.

Maybe those armoured super soldier types just like a good punch up after all what else have they got to do. ;)

Heh, in good old RT, the ABC protection of the armor was more important with insta-army-killing virus grenades about. Ah, the good old days of not pretending to make sense...

And a POS tank at that. Not much excuse to use Land Raiders exclusively over Rhinos. Rhinos and their variants should have, thousands of years ago, been sent to the trash bin.

As previously mentioned, though, the concept of "tank" should probably have gone the same way?

Well call me old school, but being a former Air Assault and then Mech Infantryman. Infantrymen regardless, of type. In most cases, they need to ride/be transported in some sort of AFV or aircraft. Then dismount ... And as always ... Tanks/MBTs are to provide support for the Infanty. Along with the combined arms concept which means, at the very least Infantry and Tanks work together ... mutual support, etc. ... Now I maybe wrong, but I'd imagine that paradigm will be around for some time, even in the distant future. If GW/FW needs to dump anything it's their pletora of close combat weapons. Like Powerfists, Chainswords, etc., etc. ... :gah Ranged weapons have dominated the battlefield for some time. Regardless of what GW 40K rules/fluff say ... :P 8)
