Hey guys,
I'm going to start creating a modular river system for Epic games.
I want my water to have that 'wet' look, but given the small scale of Epic models I'm not planning on using any kind of two-part epoxy 'artificial water.' Even the thinnest layer I could possibly pour would come out being too thick, so I'm thinking of painting on a layer of polyurethane onto the riverbed.
I've pretty much made up my mind that that's how I'm going to do it, just wondering if anyone has any practical experience with how this comes out.

I've got some pouring medium (got it at Michaels, from the artist paintbrush isle), it comes out very glossy/smooth and doesn't have to go on thick. I used it on my MoW bases.
