What else could be built? You know I'm not a demanding guy so I'd just limit psypher to building his own take on ALL of these:

Hey, what Kind of Township you want, an specific function or an Mix.
There are Reasons to mad an Cathedral in central, like this..
http://dhyssis.deviantart.com/art/w40k-Imperial-City-212968796

or when it is an specific Function like Administratum then the place would better be something like an Central Circus. Where all Axes cross. It would be an Mixuse building which made sense as tradeplace, an w40k version of an Agora or Forum. In this scenario the Temple comes on the Periphery of the Place-Complex.
It can look like this..
http://dhyssis.deviantart.com/art/Central-Circus-Detail-316501009
And Please, build NO elipsis as the main Place-Form.
When you want to made some Small rectangle like in your periphery plan, the square form must be very big for a good believible Town-Structure.

This time i work too on an specific w40k Architecture which has more Realistic Points in it. So i use much Cityblock forms, with different styles. I tend to an Modular system which i can at the end build different situations of an Town bzw. Hive. Strategic Points, like Trader-Quarter with many storages for Munition, Food and Equipment, Water-Station, Governoupalace, Central-Market, Inner-Defences for Guard, Administratum and Inquisition.

Please describe a llittle bit more detailed what you want.

sorry for my poor english.

Hi!

Great concepts Dhyssis! I'll let psypher poder on their feasibility.

No worries on my "layout". Psypher has already shown me a more realistic CAD layout the matches his terrain selection and has more realistic dimensions.

I am going to use 1/3 tall buildings, 1/3 small buildings and 1/3 ruins to fill out the cityscape. All that remains to see is what kind of custom buildings for the city center. You're idea are a very cool thought for them. :)

When I get round to doing my city scape (I plan on using the plastic Games and Gears boards when they are available) I may have to invest in some of these if I don't have enough of the old AT buildings (current count is in the 40s I believe ;D ;D ). Will definitely want some special structures if you come up with some.

Its been a hectic week this week, so most of my time has been diverted away from here :(

I'm busy looking at getting the recessed tiles done for the roads....which should be complete in approx. 2-3 weeks all going well....quicker if things settle down and I'm not called away :)

As for the specialist buildings... I'm always open for ideas....just drop me a sketch or two and I can see what I can do! :)

....I forgot to mention that I should also have some hollow buildings done about the same time. Some of these will be based on the previous solid cast models. They will have a separate roof, so they can be customised with floors (which I may do as a pack at a much later date) so models can hide inside or they can be glued down, walls ruined etc .

Keep an eye out over next few weeks for the masters....see which ones you like before I start casting :)

Hi guys,

It seems lately I can't get my brain working and focused properly on non epic stuff. I'm struggling to come up for a name for the website/business I'm starting, so thought who better to ask than you guys who have helped and encouraged me.

Sooooo, I'm after ideas for a good, catchy name...any ideas? If I get one that I like, the inventor of the name will get some goodies sent to them :)

Some good ideas there....

I like the Design, Warscape and castings....maybe something with one or two of these words in it?

Anymore ideas? :)
