Looking around on Shapeways last night stumbled across this bit of stuff. Looks pretty nice, especially for $10ish

I'll probably pick one up in a while and write a review.

Interesting thought. I hadn't really considered printing one-off terrain in low quality materials, might actually prove quite cheap.

Yeah you're not going to get any awards for painting something like this up but sometimes you just need a cheap good enough piece. Now granted if someone with a proven trackrecord of real quality work wants to make something along this line I'd be happy to partake :)

hmmm. $10, and impossible to cast geometry permitted.

I might look into this.

It's a bit small though - barely 4cm X 5cm X 3cm. If it were about twice the size I would jump at it. A beter bet would be to make it from smaller modular parts, which would be castable.

Looks a bit lacking in detail for my tastes.

White Strong & Flexible has pretty poor detail, and a rough surface.
It makes everything look like slightly rough stone.
