A Shrine of the Aquila, produced by the extremely talented NSGZ. you can see his work here. The model seems to have been cast in gypsum (plaster of paris) and arrived with two minor pieces of battle damage. Compared to what happened to my last parcel incoming, that's bloody brilliant.
It's still in pieces, as I can't decide whether to build in in the cross shaped shrine pattern it's designed for or as the basis for a Capitol Impearialis.

or to do a silicon mould of the walls and do both, or something equally silly. The epic sisters have suffered a slight crisis of supply and demand. Too many people demanding them. Still, a nice board full of terrain is a good start yes?

did i mention how fine the detail is on these panels?

this pic is too blurry to show below 0.5mm, but it's there.

I won't even mention the statues of hooded sisters that go where you'd expect gargoyles. too damn small to photograph.

It's resin. So careful if you dust it :)

yeah NSGZ has warned me already, but honestly I was wondering if this had been cast in gypsum.

it hasn't. It's a painters resin that reacts to primer to get harder. if it dosen't kill me first.

Very nice. I tried to get one, but 1) shipping from Germany was craaaa-zy, and 2) NSGZ was afraid of shipping plaster overseas (as in, it wouldn't make it.) Good to see he's using resin. Congratulations on your new Shrine - he did an outstanding job on it.
