I've drawn up a few more structures that I intend to be eldar objectives. The sensor tower is roughly based on a piece of artwork I saw in one of the 40k eldar codices. It is sitting on the same base as my exodite silo/eldar fuel depot/alien radome. The bunker/exodite homestead building doesn't feel finished to me, so I may add a few more minor details. |

It looks a bit like an old-timey hard hat, but it is a work in progress. |

There are three Eldar designs IMO that you should try to achieve: 1. Ovals instead of circles 2. Assymetry 3. Avoiding right angles Based on those criteria I think these designs came out great.  Quite honestly I wouldn't do much more to them.  Instead I would focus on getting other buildings and structures completed so that people can pick and choose (or buy the whole lot of them). Nicely done. ![]() ![]() EDIT The one thing you may want to do is add some sort of texture to the larger panels so that it paints better. Striations or maybe vines growing up the side or artwork or little panels or what-have-you. Just to make it conducive to drybrushing. |

Here's a slightly different version of the bunker, with tertiary reinforcement (I added smaller ribs). I'm not sure if I like it. I'm starting to think it might look best with only the main ribbing. What do you guys think? |

Very nice, these look great ![]() I prefer these to your previous one and think it looks better without the ribs. Will these be made available? I'd like some ![]() |

The ribs don't look bad. I do think that the area where the ribs were should be filled with something else though. As I mentioned before, some sort of design. I don't know how hard it would be to have a raised set of vines running along the building but those would certainly add something. Another idea would be some type of small electronics here and there. They don't need to be numerous, but those small details would make it 'pop'. If you are going to work on some other pieces as well, you may want to consider ways to connect those buildings to other buildings via catwalks or raised bridges or ramps or simply fancy designed walls. An idea for another building might be one that is top heavy themed after a tree perhaps, with a 'trunk' as its only connection to the ground. It may never stand on it's own but players could easily pin/glue it to a base and it would remain upright. |

I have a list of 8 objective structures that I want to draw up: 1) Wraithgate 2) Exodite Silo 3) Sensor Tower 4) Exodite Homestead/Eldar Bunker 5) Power generation sail masts 6) World Stone cairns 7) Gate of Vaul ![]() The first 3 are done, and the 4th I'm detailing now. I've done some work on the 5th, but I haven't really settled on how I want the base of the mast to look. The 6th is really just a stone henge rip-off, which may be easier to make with plasicard strips. The 7th isn't started yet, but I think I've figured out how to make the curvalinear shapes needed to approximate the structure shown on the cover of Swordwind. As for the 8th, it may get dropped. It really is just an excuse to have another objective use the same tower base and platform as the silo and the sensor tower. To be honest, I haven't really come up with a concept of what a large Eldar transmitter would look like. I want it to look vaguely like a satellite dish, but not so much that it doesn't look appropriately eldar. In the end, my plan is to use several of the structures on each of my objectives (which will be on 60mm titan bases). I figure a bunker and sensor tower, 2 silos and a sensor tower, two power sails and a bunker, etc. add some scenic rocks and flock, and they should look okay. I plan on going for an exodite or craftworld settler feel. |

Well, if you leave off the ribbing and someone doesn't like it, they have an area to use decals or freehand paint designs. That probably shouldn't be the determining factor, but if you're waffling on which to do it might tip the scales. |

Here's something that is as close to top heavy as I care to get. I see this as an Exodite 'firetower' of a sort. These thing could be scattered throughout the wilderness of a maidenworld, keeping tabs on various things (herd migrations, volcanic eruptions, ork invasions, etc). You could use it as an eldar cell phone tower, or a weather scanner, a psychic heat sink, or to symbolized your love for the CN tower for all I care. It would look cool used on the same base as the bunker. It's abit over 2.25 inches tall, with a 0.75 inch base, so this would easily fit on even a 20mm square base. It has 7 parts: 1 tower 3 sensor domes 3 attachment arms I'm thinking of making another type of doohickey to attach to the tower in place of a sensor dome, to change things up a bit. |

Okay, I finally got around to un-reinforcing the bunker: |

Semaj, So what is your plan on these pieces?  How many would you have to move to make them worth creating? EDIT Also, what do you think about making another tall tower piece that is assymetrical and unable to stand on its own? In other words, you mount it properly to keep it upright. I could see the Eldar creating things that seem to defy gravity. |
