Hi guys

I thought it might be easier to start a rolling log so you know when there have been any terrain article updates or additions to the site to save you having to keep checking. Plus it is actually easier for me to catch any questions or comments here and be able to answer them quicker.

Of course feel free to message or email me if you prefer.

To get the ball rolling, I have added a small update to the workbench today as I have been passing the time renovating some of my resin FW buildings while the weather has been a bit pants  :sigh:

Regards
Carl

Very nice colors. As I just received a few of the FW buildings (including that one) I was hoping that you could go over the paint colors. There is a ton of gray paints out there, and I'd like to add as many as possible to keep my buildings/ruins looking a bit more individualized.

For the dome:

Vile Green (Vallejo)
Highlights - 50/50 Vile Green and Rotting Flesh
Devlan Mud wash

For the minarets:

Boltgun metal drybrush
Fenris Grey drybrush
shade with watered down Charadon Grey
For the highlights 50/50 Fenris Grey and Space Wolf Grey

Very nice! Adding such detail to my own FW buildings is on my own to do list. The green and brassy gold is great.

I've just finished to read the article about your new gaming board and it's really a great piece of work and and priceless source of inspiration. Thank you for the time you spend to explain your methods.

I have the project to had a city board to my gaming table (you can see it here) in the future month...I'm happy to benefit of your experience to help me in this long project.

Can't wait to see the next part of the article !  :wow:

Nice to see you back in the "Epic world".

Ciao
Nico

Thanks guys, much appreciated. There should be another buildings update this week some time. It would have been this weekend gone, except my workshop was in a bit of a mess from all the terrain I've been doing lately (it's not just Epic that's getting an overhaul, but all my terrain, so there's a lot of 40K and SST stuff getting a going over at the moment too).
I decided time would be better spent getting the workshop straightened out again.
... and as these things never go as quickly as you would like and one thing always leads to another, what started as a small tidy-up evolved into a full blown spring clean  :oo:

Still, on the plus side it has made it a lot easier to see where I am up to and the impending risk of injury or death from a landslide of bits boxes has been somewhat abated for now.

Nico: Love your boards also by the way, especially the roads and hills which look superb. It is a really pleasant and natural looking board, that must be very satisfying to game on  :agree:
The way the roads join up with the city sections you have done look fantastic!

Carl :   Great to see Dropship up and running again - your painting and terrain building has always been an inspiration.   I re-visited the old Dropship site so many times hoping to see more of your work.

Nico:   Some truly wonderful terrain (two for the price of one thread !).  I am particularly impressed by your hills and would love to know how you made these.   I must admit that my french is not good enough to read the descriptions.

Cheers,

Phil
