I was at AC Moore, the other day, and I saw something that may make decent trains for Epic scale.  It was called the Train Toob and is made by a company called Safari.  It was around $8 and contained a whole pile of trains, no track though.  However the price is right.  My only concern is they may be too small, the trains were only around 1 cm tall.

You can see them here, I intend to grab a set once my stuff arrives and I can confirm they'll either be too small, or passable.

Yes, I saw the same thing at Hobby Lobby today ... think they'd work for Epic ... It crossed my mind to get them.  But I got ENOUGH terrain !

I'd like to make an Epic-scale monorail.  I know Old Crow makes one, but it looks more like a maglev than a monorail.  The hardest part is finding something flexible to use as the rail itself.  I can kitbash the cars pretty easily, I think.

Use plasticard I beams. Getting them to bend may be a bit of an issue, but i am sure with enough heat and sweat, it could be done.

What about using z-gauge trains. I think they are 1:300 scale.

Z is 1:220.  That's close enough for industrial buildings and other "scale neutral" features but more recognizable features like the trains look off, imho.

I got the Egyptian Toob !  And they have some great Terrain bitz in there !  Once I get them painted up I'll post'm ! :agree:  Now I'll take a look at the Train Toob again, in the future at Hobby Lobby.  But they look close enough for me. If you added "skirts" or Plenium Chambers you could have Grav or GEV Land Trains.  And if any one wants a Toob of Egyptians or Trains, I can get them for a number of places OTC, here on my spot on the planet.   :D
