Hi guys (again) !

Here's some views of my finished Epic Table.

I have decided this winter to send to the trash my oldest terrain pieces (12 years old...) and I have worked on a road system that can be used in combinaison of a ruined small imperial town.

The only pieces missing in this views are two forest (the one here is for 28 mm...I had forgotten the good ones at home :confuse: )

The project was to organise a demo game in my club to relaunch the interest in 6 mm and particulary in Epic. The shots here were taken during this demo game.

Hope this will bring some inspiration ;)

Ciao
Nico

PS: Next project, an urban table. But don't hang here for to long, it may take a (very) long time :p

Nice work.

Its good to see a table with proper roads on it since they can add an interesting strategic element to the game.

Fantastic work.
Are the roads bought (if so who is the manufacturer?) or made (can you give a how to?)
Thanks

Very nice work. Great roads and the buildings fit into the table very well. Looks quite realistic.

Great to see paint Fists on a table as well. Always wanted to paint some of them up

Those roads are fantastic.  Looks like a lot of work, but well worth the results.

The road are home-made. It's made from soft wood of 5/8 mm thick. You can find that kind of wood in your supermarket as they usually use it in water pallet.

They are actually 12 sections. To be sure that the road will fit to your table you just have to separate your table in square. Mine is 1m20 by 1m80 so I have devided this in 30cm square. First draw your sections on paper you can do diagonal, curves etc as long as each section begin and end in the half or in the angle of a 30 cm square.

For my road I have chosen to do:

2 straight sections 30 cm
1 straight section 60 cm
2 straight sections 42 cm (they are diagonals)
1 T section
1 almost Y section (30 cm straight more a 45? curve)
1 90? curve section
2 45? curve sections
2 almost 42 cm straight sections with one beveled end (not sure if this is the right word) for diagonal that end on the table edge.

You can then use this principe for the rest of your terrain pieces. The ruined city is based more or less on a 30 cm square. I have firstly draw the street to fit in that square and the added the buildings. Like this you can do an infinite combinaison of road that will always perfectly fit to the table. I have added 3 single ruined buildings individually based (try to make one of your base edge straight so that it can follow the road section). Like this your city is more realistic (it's no more a sharp square on your board) and even more playable. It's a beautifull piece of terrain (I hope so)  but a tactical element to.

Hope this will help, sorry if my english is not very clear...
