hi all,
where are the Andrayads? Having a picnic at Lesser Packingsley, it seems.

All right, get to the point: this is a pretty darned obvious thing to do, and probably ten thousand people will write in to say been there, done that, bought the paint brush - and show pics too - but here's a project which is on hold due to my studies and work. And it's one which is really easy to do. A bit of paint (or textured paint), a few details added, and you get Orky buildings - although the white one could do for Tau too.
And just the size for Epic.
I can't remember the provenance of the brown packaging, but the white one came with my mobile phone. And practically all electronic gadgets have this sort of stuff with them. Pure gold :) :) :)

Nice Van. I'm looking forward to seeing these finished. I'm planning on making something out of the styrofaom that came with a printer cartridge.

Can be bought or made. Add fine sand to paint, and voila'.
:D

Cool!    It'll be interested to see what you'll come up with, as I've put some similar packaging aside to make in to Epic-scale buildings/terrain. :)

Yeah, my sons' sandbox is at an all-time low after some recent terrain making escapades.  Buy a big tube of cheap grey acrylic paint from the local $1 store, add about 30-40% volume of sand/talc/crushed shells/gravel etc and slap it on.  Great for stopping expanded PS foam from looking like expanded PS foam too.

Mate found that the little plastic tubs that Ink Jet cartridges are packed in make pretty sweet Tau or other modern looking buildings.

should look really nice Van.  The white one would make a very nice tau outpost, though for the grey one im thinking less orky, more deserted desert citadel.

PS; as no one else said anything (and I'm sure you'd be disappointed otherwise):  Seen it done before. :p

Shame I threw my mobile phone packaging away. I knew I should have kept hold of it!

They have nice flat surfaces for putting the stands on as well. Can?t wait to see what you do with them.

Afraid you'll have to  :(  :(
I'll only be able to do big jobs after November due to my studies + work combined.

I was only ribbing. I know what it's like when you're pressed for time.
