Those look fantastic!

I may have missed it, but what are you using for your bases?

Thanks all ?:) .

The bases are MDF - sprayed white and washed with Woodland Scenics Stone Gray and Black.

Yeah, I had bucket loads of Ork Battlewagon turrets from when I played Space Maines in the late 80's/early 90's. Managed to get hold of a lot of Hellhounds & Griffons for a good price and converted them to Chimeras. I hate having to be so tight-fisted but when you haven't got the money you have to be creative!

I've spent the last few weeks getting some terrain done.

Here is some more industrial stuff.

And another WIP piece (made using JRM, Old Crow Models, Conflix Chemical and Platformer kits, MDF and cable ties.

I've also been working on my ruined city terrain (mostly GW with some JRM thrown in for variety).

Lastly there are some other bits. The river sections are from JRM (highly recommend these) as are the bridges (I made good use of their free postage before Christmas! ). The rocky outcrops are from HeroClix (I think), just had to repaint them and add some detail.

Onyx, you're a one man Epic museum. Stunning - especially the arch and the mountains. Please thank the BTs for kindly providing scale. :) :) :) :)

Color me green with envy. Fantastic work, Onyx. I already have JRM river sections. I love 'em.

Great looking terrain.

I like the concrete look of the buildings.  What paint scheme did you use?

Actually, they look to be from the Heroscape expansion "Thaelenk Tundra" (I have one awaiting some paint myself.

Very nicely done.  I particularly like the chunkier ruined buildings in the back of the fourth picture.  Are those GW?

They are the GW polystyrene ones.  I think they came in Titan Legions.  Seeing Onyx's ones painted up made me feel so silly because I had the opportunity to get a whole bunch of them for almost nothing and looking at them unpainted I just didn't see the potential and said I wasn't interested.

Excellent Stuff !  The buildings that Tertius has mentioned is from AT1. And are styrofoam.  Go to the Epic Resources thread and look for the L4 gallery - Gotham 40,000. Shows all those structures. The buildings from TL are cardboard.  I love the overall look of the terrain !  What is the Arch/Gate from ?  JRM ?  Again, Really great job !  :D

Thanks all.

M4Jumbo, the buildings are just basecoated grey (or white), a few details are picked out (roof colours etc) and then washed with Woodland Scenics Stone Gray and Black to bring out the detail.

L4 Yup, the gate is from JRM (15mm section if I recall).

I finally got around to actually painting my 6'x4' MDF boards (had them for just under a year) and had a little daydream with the finished terrain.

The 4 lane road sections are actually 25mm scale items made by CNC Workshop. These MDF boards are very handy for representing a major highway. I'll be making some MDF ones for smaller roads.

I've also been playing with some old bits and pieces. This was a Star Wars Rebel Transport I had for over 20 years. Its now a crash-landed Imperial transport of some kind.

I'm also working on some natural terrain (hills, cliffs etc) to go with all the trees I've based. Need to have some variety in our battlegrounds (I'll be painting the reverse sides of my base boards to look like dirt/counrtyside).

Awesome! I especially love the crashed transport!

21 urban tiles for about $150NZ, hmm tempting. Though having just spent $250 on FW buildings it might have to wait for a bit.... :)

What technique did you use to do lane markings on the roads?
