Well, I'm in the process of moving, and the ladz and I were hoping to get in one last "hurrah" at the old place, but the plan fell through at the last minute. I was hoping to finally put the resin city walls and towers to use and had set up a cool battlefield.  It didn't get played on, but I didn't want it to go to waste. Take a look and let me know what you think! |

they look great!. as for being practical... its the imperium! also read Necropolis. in that the walls have sheild generators to stop bombardments. |

(Hena @ Jul. 19 2007,04:50) QUOTE But I gotta wonder. Who would build a wall to defend something against modern type of armies? It's not really effective as others can bombard them to bits from farther afield. Since a defender can send out airstrikes, airborne troops, use spacecraft to zap them and even drop troops from orbit all to take out artillery I think that the idea of static artillery shelling a defensive position isn't very realistic in sci-fi gaming at this scale. IIRC in Necropolis the walls actually served as an anchor for the force shield that surrounded the city as well as having AA emplacements and even artillery on it |

Assume that they contain Void shields or something, if that'll make you happy. ![]() |

(pixelgeek @ Jul. 19 2007,17:31) QUOTE Sweet walls. Did you cast those yourself? Thanks! Yep, did up some molds with Pipboy a while back, you can see some pics here. The towers and gates are made from the same pieces; they were created with modularity/versitility in mind. I'm in the middle of moving, but once settled in I'm hoping to put these into production for people who are interested. More info to come! |
