Hi!

Lamentable, but totally understandable.

As having run a business myself, it is a full time occupation. It's best it run in the background if other things require your attention.

Doing it as commission work is an excellent idea. I'm sure you'll not be lacking in potential takers (like me). ;)

Must agree with Primarch's comments here.

Sad to see this happen mate really I am but as you say you are not gone completely just cutting back. Still it's most unfortunate that you are unable to continue as you are or expand as you had hoped. :(

Regards

It is really sad that you're having to cut back on the webstore, but I'm guessing the cost of running it could have been cutting into your profits.

As soon as you post a list of what is going out of stock I think I'll make an order of that stuff, and maybe post this on another site so people can grab stuff before it disappears.

Hi!

It is a sign of the times I think.

Model making and its related business has to take a long hard look at emerging technologies.

3d design is where it is at, but paying for those designs is costly and not everyone has the advantage like Onslaught that he runs the company and makes his own designs (a definite money saver).

In the case of psypher, he also makes his own designs and cuts them himself, but the level of moving inventory is not high enough to justify the fees involved in maintaining a webstore.

6mm and epic in general, for now, can only really work as a small cottage industry or via commission work. Not the most optimal situation, but I'd get used to it until the time everyone can have their own 3d printer and/or scanner, then it becomes an issue of hunting for 3d designs or scanning already made models.

More bad news ! But glad you're still going on in a low key way. I've actually been planning to (finally) order some of your detailed trench lines and bunkers. Are they still available ?

I'm hoping down the line when life, health and work settle down and get back to normality I will be able to devote much more time to this and take it further than I current had.....thats the plan anyway :)

PS. I haven't forgotten you, although it probably seemed like I had :)

Cheers mate, yes, just cutting back for now. Any new stuff will appear on here and facebook page and I'll be continuing with commission work as normal. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to devote more time to this enterprise.

Hi,

Cheers, its more the time/health at the moment that I'm not being able to dedicate as much as I would like to the venture. I'm my worst enemy as I feel pressured (by myself) to expand the range and run the venture as a full time business. Because I can't do this at the moment I would rather put the store on hold, do a few pieces as and when someone wants to order and then come back and do bigger and better things. To be honest, most people contact me direct rather than via the webstore!...

The list will appear soon! I won't be stopping cutting any of the range, its just that what I have cut already is taking up so much room I need to rationalize the space for something else :) I think I have enough buildings and airfields cut already to cover a few large gaming tables!

You have hit the nail on the head there mate.

3D printed models have the advantage over laser cut ones for the amount of detail they can have. There is the possibility that if I can do it, I'll be doing some 3D printed stuff from design to printing in house in the future (one of my hopes for the future). I just need to find a decent, easy, user friendly 3D package to start with! ....Anyone got any suggestions :)

Hi!

No rush psypher, as all "primarch related commissions", they take time. ;)
