Hey all. I managed to more buildings usable for Epic.

They are from IDA 3D. I got these from a book and gift distributor at the school that my wife is volunteering at.

They are made in vietnam.

The scale is very usable and at under $10Aus per kit, they are affordable.

There are litterally dozens of different castles, cathedrals, important buildings to choose from. I'll be using many of the Skyscrapers as terrain for my Tau.

Hopefully, you'll be able to find a salesman near you if you are interested.

Steve.

They are actually wooden blocks with magnets in the bases to hold them together. No painting required (except if you want to change the base board - it's a bit bright)

I'm sure a Google search of IDA 3D should provide more info (and hopefully a local supplier nearby).

Thanks TRC   .

My word there are tons of stuff on their website - and all I think at 1:350/400 in scale. Though it does seem to vary considerably. For $2 each?

It looked to me like there was a cap on the vertical height of the skyscraper models.  In other words, the Bank of China, Taipei 101, and the former World Trade Center were all the same height.  The taller buildings seemed to me at about 1:600. Some of the shorter ones (i.e. less than 100 storeys) were in the 1:300-1:400 ballpark.

I somehow doubt the $2 per building price, but am intrigued.

I was actually able to get mine direct from the wholesaler but she asked me not to give her details out because she didn't want to undercut her buyers.
She doesn't ship internationally anyway.
I'll try and find out where she got them from.

There is a guy selling them on eBay but he is a total RIP-OFF on postage (wanted over$100US to post 10 of these kits from USA to Australia). I tried to get eBay to do something and he reduced his postage by $2US and then banned me from buying from him (no great loss in the end). By the way, he also recently raised his prices again... Not a seller that I can recommend but I don't know where alse to get them from.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Can she say who her buyers are? :) THe originator is a chap in Vietnam, has a loverly website and everything. Seems his factory price is $2 each, but that would be for a big shipment.

Yeah, I know about the website. I've been trying to get some of these buildings for a while and had basically given up until they turned up in my lap (so to speak).

I'll chase up here buyers ASAP but they are all likely to be local West Aus distributers.

More pics of my Ad Mech Manufactorum.

It's made using the Pegasus Hobbies Gothic City Building Small Set #2. Some FW goodies are added for scale and detail, also some pipework from the Chemical plant set is used to tie it into the rest of my industrial buildings.

There's a landing pad on the roof and 2 giant doors to let the newly built Titans go to war.
The roof is made of polystyrene (the kit doesn't come with a roof because it is fully customisable in shape).

Steve that manufactorium is awesome.  I recognise quite a few bits and they have fit together so well.
