Looking great, Sytoru.

That thing is cool, the will with out a doubt be a line of sight blocker....hey, the Imperator may finally have something to hide behind :)
I agree with you WMN, most people have small building even a Reaver titan towers over. I got dirty looks when I started building things that blocked line of sight for Titans.
Can't wait to see this painted and complete.....man transporting it is going to be a pain in the butt.

That is...awesome.

And you say you are building the standard imperial stuff and the space marine player the special stuff? I wonder what he is making!

@Kleomenes: Well, the SM player will be building the "specialist" buildings. Basically I'll be creating mostly civilian structures. The SM player gets to do the other bits and SM type field emplacements.

@bmans5: Transportation isn't a massive issue for this. The central column is removable, initially I had planned on fixing it to the board but thinking further ahead, leaving it as a slot in piece makes things much easier. Being as I currently have a Vauxhall Vectra there is plenty of space for terrain. :)

@everyone else: Thanks for the support and kind comments so far.

---

  Just a quick update.

The current state of the lower half.

I've got all those little feet attached along with the lower bracing and supports. The parapet has been installed and the beginnings of the detailing on the ground level section. The central column has been sheathed in paper to cover the rough texture of the tube and the exterior bracing has been added along with one of the "fun" pieces of detailing which is just visible on the upper right of the image.

What is an official Imperial building without the ubiquitous Aquilla?

So when I said "fun" I realise that I probably have a slightly different concept of "fun" to most others. It is approximately 2.5" across and 1" high. I need to produce a second one for the rear since I like symmetry.

The downside to all of this is that the holes I drilled to support the landing platforms now don't line up with the faces of the octagonal parts and will need to be repositioned. Next time I need to be a little more careful when I add things...... Ah well.

I like it. Lot of details made from scratch, that's great.
The only thing i don't really like is the height: it's a bit too high i think, but that's just a personnal judgement.
