Mate,

My armies are stored in Sabol foam trays. The majority are in 1" foam. This is suitable for infantry and small vehicles up to Land Raider in size. For larger vehicles I use 1.5" trays, flyers and titans are generally kept in 3" foam. The Sabol trays are not pre-cut and allow you to remove sections to suit the size of the model.

Trays are then stored in one of two ways. I have a map draw set for the majority of current projects or regularly used armies. The others at this point are kept in storage tubs under the table. I am hoping to get a display case this year and all my favorite armies will live in there and the remainder in the map draw.

The small storage units you see are from hardware stores nd the like and are for excess models and tools. I am not OCD, however I do like the room to be functional.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Aaron

Ok,

So I had a productive day here yesterday with excellent help from JimmyXII movement forward has occured on two projects. Firstly all the trenches are cut out and all the craters have been made. This was followed up with a first coat of textured paint get a first layer on the tiles. On to the pics.

This was taken last night as it was still drying

From this morning with the addition of some of the trenches in to help you get the idea. The trences will all be painted separately before being added back in. Left to construct are the bridges that allow tanks and PCs through the line. Titan can cross the trenches as they are on 2cm wide.

On to the next project. Inspired by AI I have started on an Epic Imperial Airbase. I started collecting bits for this years ago and I have combined all sorts of gear to get this on the table. ompleted yesterday was:

1. Alignment of partes
2. Scoring of concrete base
3. Gluing of said base
4. Carving and gluing of hills, excellent blue foam from Dow carves like a dream.
5. Undercoating of parts
6. Preping of holes in hills to seat towers. All the towers can be removed for transit and storeage.

Here are some pics of work so far.

The base so far.
