It must have taken a very steady hand and precise cutting to get those Tau structures out of those globes...
Nope just a really big and sharp kitchen knife to slice a chunk off and then added a bunch of splitters with toilet rolls and stuff.

Very cool city terrain. What are those light tan resin pieces mixed in there?

I wrote up a little review of the commercial terrain products I tried when I bought them all.
Has close ups of the buildings, links to the manufacturers sites and my thoughts on each of the types I have tried.

The light resin is quite brittle. I dropped on on the rim of my metal too box and it shattered but luckilly it glued back together ok. Not the best quality for people who have my lack of coordination. (the dark resin ones are like rock and bounce if dropped but slightly less detail).

Its a public holiday in Australia tomorrow, so I would imagine very soon indeed . We finished off assembling enough terrain to cover an entire 6'x4' table pretty much without gaps this weekend, I just need to glue sand to all the bases that have hills on them (and sand back all the spac-filler off them).
I am hoping to build 28mm scale versions of a couple of pieces for early next year when I will be running a multisystem campaign weekend (the culmination of a tournament series I am running which starts with Epic, BFG, then all systems simultaneously with all the tables intermingled around each other and players working together in teams which should hopefully show all those 40K players how cool epic and BFG are).
One of the tables I really want to do but haven't really figured out yet is a harbour with a 1/300 battle ship in it (its almost 4' long). I am thinking about maybe having it docked in a river harbour so it can run down the middle of a table but I can't make my mind up about how I want to do it. Definitely won't be happening in time for the tournament next month.

I'm liking the buildings on there. But I'll have a better look once I get past the proper old school Terminator from Space Hulk.
On a related note, is that density of terrain suitable for E:A? I'd have thought that a somewhat more open battlefield was required. Certainly the few games I've so far played have all been sparse on the terrain.

Great looking village Markco !! Worth fighting over !! Excellent work ! And as far as terrain in Epic, after playing beaucoup games since '90, The terrain, modifies the tactics, but otherwises closed, mixed or open terrain works fine... Just like in RL !
