I have six different versions of these roofs. You have three of them, but there are at least three that you don't have.

Show off! :D

Can you supply pictures of the missing versions? Please?

I was actually wrong about the count. I have four that don't show up in your photos. I may have more somewhere - I didn't look very hard. I'll keep a casual look out for more.

Second half of first mold poured at 9:00 central US time.

These roof molds are going to be big. Gabby Hayes big. This first one consumed 12 ounces of silicon, which is enough for 3 molds large enough for land raiders, or 6 rhinos.

Note that the coloration of the silicon is no longer light pink. I'm trying an accelerator catalyst from Smooth-On.

Note that the coloration does appear to be light pink, because I didn't color correct the picture. It actually looks like chewed up gum.

I foolishly attempted to dislodge air bubbles from the second half of the pour by lifting the mold and then dropping it. That dislodged the pattern, and I had to repour.

That cost be about 7 ounces of silicon. $7 worth of silicon.

So, take it from me: don't subject the mold to acceleration while the silicon is setting.

First attempt at casting last night failed, due to insufficient passageways. This is expected; I refer to this stage as 'refinement' of the mold as its characteristics are determined.

The partial cast shows an acceptable quality. Possible pictures on Thursday, otherwise next week.

I hope the 'pegs' on the bottom aren't important, 'cuz I've been snapping these off. The molds would be size prohibitive otherwise.

The pegs are used to hold the cardboard sections of the buildings in the correct manner.

One thing you might want to try is to make the lego form match the shape of the roof top. In other words, make the lego form into an irregular cross shape instead of a square. That should save you a considerable amount of silicon.

Pegs not such a big deal if the roof tops are used on say a foam core base.  Building some of those nice bunkers as featured in the old Battles Book would be cool too.
