Does anyone know what role Epic will play in Eye of Terror? I think it will most likely be Epic 40K rules, but will there be new army lists, rules, scenarios etc?
Did Epic get any new support around Armageddon? I know Warmaster did when the Albion campaign was going on.
Also are they considering allowing results from Epic:A games? They now have a Chaos army list - whats to stop them?
Cheers
Chris

...I don't think that they would turn away results played with Armageddon rules.. And it might be interesting to see how well Chaos do in E40k and E Armageddon rules....
I hope we get some more support... as we see the Epic logo on the EoT site, then I guess this might be the case...
-I don't remember Epic getting any extra stuff around Armageddon, tho this was in its really dark days- no mention anywhere in WD, no Epic Mag, nothing at all in stores....

OK guys, from the preview I've seen of the force involved, even Epic is too small to resolve this one!
Loyal Forces: IG Regts >900. 23 different SM Chapters ranging from 1 to 12 companies!! 4 Legio Titanicus 21 Front line Battle Groups 36 Rear Echelon Battle Groups 4 Independent Strike Groups 21+ Space Marine Battle Barges 150+ Space Marine Strike Cruisers 200+ Space Marine Escort Squadrons
Forces of Chaos: 13 Legions, 6 Traitor Guard regts, a number of Mutant Hords and 6 Traitor Legio Titanicus, 38 Battle Fleets and 19 "Wolf Pack" Squadrons, pus other stuff....
And that lot would strench even the capacity of Legion4, signius, Tuffskull, dafrca and other insane freaks to put it all on the table

Jervis may have big plans for Epic, but I don't think the rest of GW really does.
I want to be an optimist, but I don't really see E-A being promoted as part of the EOT campaign.
I also wouldn't be surprised if E-A's release date is pushed back again even with the rules being in near final form.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Yeah, Darkone, I think it was Tuffskull that confirmed this elsewhere, a huge 40k finisher battle for EoT at Gamesday UK; in the new WD it talks about "a titanic EoT finale battle, which will include twenty Titans." ...presumably these will be all FW Warhounds tho, unless they bring out a new type pretty soon- asn't there an old-style Warhound planned, or a Chaos one, or both.....?

I'm really looking forward to playing games based on Armageddon now. I've started building Armageddon forces. My Mars Forgeworld terrain boards will do fine for Ash Wastes or Volcanic Areas. I don't have much of a desire to play the EoT campaign.
Hey, when you're in California, let me know, we'll set up a big game (Signius, myself, and who know who else). I'd even be willing to put a few back with you.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Me too. L4 and I are quietly putting together an urban campaign system which I am planning tentatively to use for the Infernus Hive seige.
Having said that though, I dont need much excuse to pull out figures and play anything...and this means I get to blow the dust off my chaos troops too!
I'm scheduled to be in San Diego in Nov-Dec time so will look forward to taking you up on the offer of suds and rampant destruction then
Mind you, you know how the military works- plan early, plan twice, or three times maybe 5 stop counting after seven

Chris,
Did Epic get any new support around Armageddon? - Chris |
Yes, Epic did actually get some support during the Armageddon campaign. There was even a new unit called an Ork Siege Gun that was a little like an improved Big Gun. That was about it since I think just about every battle played and recorded (not that it matters since the results were fixed) was 28mm 40k.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

A few random thoughts:
Jervis has said that we can use Epic:A results for EoT, which is good, I'll get some games in at my local store.
Max, thanks for the insight into Epic on Armageddon. But we didn't get any massive new list or models did we? I don't think we will for EoT either.
Also, GW has confirmed that Armageddon was fixed. They asked the Mail Order dudes to input the results, and as they couldn't be arsed they fixed it!
Cheers
Chris
