I hate religious fanatics ! :;): (We're in a war with some !) As I said, we are liberal with G/W fluff. ?I see many others are too ! ?:;): ?My SMs & IG are highly skilled, dedicated, professionals ... ?Like HAMMER'S SLAMMERS ! :D

Yes I don't like religious fanatics either. My SM's and IG are highly skilled dedicated professionals as well - shame I can't say the same thing about myself as their commander!   :;):

I have missed that one. Where has it been mentioned? And I don't suppose the Angels of Fire still have white armor with red trim? Or are the Angels of Fire different from RT era Fire Angels?

It's in the Adeptus Mechanicus Liber Magna VolXXXIII by one Logos Van Vlachius.... red with flames on the shoulder pad. Except for vehicles, which are black!

Hhhmmm. No wonder I didn't know about it. I only trust the apocrypha of St. Pietus and they aren't listed there.

I don't like ANY kinds of fanatics. I am anti-fanatic fanatic.  :;):

The only fanatic who is exception to the rule is Jervis Johnson.

Heh, hadn't thought about that.  :)  But notice that I said I am anti-fanatic FANATIC myself...  }:)

And semi-seriously, since I am able to have "reasonable" conversations with the populance here you actually don't fit into my definition of fanatic.

'Fanatic' - marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion... well, 'uncritical, we're not.... :D :D :D :p

No. The definition is "epic nut", not fanatic. A fanatic can be derranged, but is not necessarily completely nuts from his point of view. We, on the other hand, KNOW that we ARE nuts. Quite a difference :D

Health and sixes,

Xavi

I like to think of myself as a fan, but not a fanatic. :;):

I have always thought of Fanatics as being so devoted they can not be critical of the thing they are a fan of.

Ditto for me! ? ?

The funny thing about this dicussion of "fan" versus "fanatic" is that the word fan came from shortening fanatic. Nowadays, "fanatic" defintely has different connotations than "fan."

Yep, that is why language is not a fixed thing. It is ever changing and morphing.
