Hey guys! I need some help...desparately! I've got a group of players to play against at two stores. Several of these players have Tyranids (3 or 4), and I'm having trouble putting up much of a fight against them. I'm not a veteran player, but I feel that I at least put up a good game against most armies. However, I can't seem to come to grips against the Tyranids. I know they are still a playtest list, but there hasn't been any major revamp to it since version 3 (its at version 6.2 now). The major problem I'm having is with the 'Unstoppable' rule. For those of you who are unaware, Tyranids never receive Blast Markers and cannot be Broken.
Basically, I'm looking for any suggestions or ideas about how to build my army to give me a fighting chance, as well as tactics to use against them. The armies that I'm seeing seems to be pretty heavy on Hive Tyrants, Tyranid Warriors, Genestealers, Ravenors, Zoanthropes, and Bio-Titans. Oddly (for a Tyranid army) there are almost no Guants of any description.
I own tons of models for Eldar and could field most anything you might suggest. Please provide tactics on how you would use suggested units as well.
I'd also urge you guys to play some games against the Tyranids if you haven't had the chance to yet. They need opposed feedback to know how to refine the list. I put a post on their part of the board to try to point out some of the problems I've had playing against it. I generally get the impression that the people providing imput aren't playing people as 'competitive' (that's the nicest way I can put it) as the people I'm playing against.
Any and all hints and suggestions appreciated.

I don't know the Eldar list well enough to give you recommendations only some general advice:
- Use as many barrage weapons as you can
- Titans are good
- Stay mobile
- Have skimmers on guard to defend against those Lictors (shouldn't be that hard as Eldar)

You will have 1 or 2 turns to concentrate fire on your enemy after that the swarm will be in your proximity and you will need to move.

Tyranids are quite hard and I still haven't figured out how to beat them with my Space Marines  :8:

Also obviously FF assaults are way to go. Going into CC is just asking for some serious trouble.

Dire avengers are probably among most usefull aspects you could hope to have against bugs, with maybe dark reapers mixed in(those missiles could be usefull if he happens to come within range so you can sustain fire. BANG!).

Keep mobile. And attack swarms untill it's dead. Don't let it spawn. Use eldar ease with retaining the initiave and hit&runs to this.

And hunt those synapses. If you get chance to kill synapse do it. Air strikes could be very handy as they can strike from rear where he might not have such a bullet screen. Barrages are also usefull in this regard(especially MW barrages though barring cobra, which is tad too short ranged, I don't remember top of my head does eldar get those).

Warp Spiders are an *excellent* Aspect to use against Tyranids as a lot of the little critters don't have saves at all.

As well, remember that, in an assault, Tyranids *do* suffer casualties equal to the difference in combat results if they lose, only fearless Tyranids are immune to this and you'd be surprised at the number of powerful units that *aren't* fearless!

Yep. Warp spiders are excelent against any army :D.

However also some dire avengers to cause the sheer number of kills you need since you can forget the BM modifier so to cause decisive casualties you need bit extra ooomph in term of kill count.
