MC23 - or whomever is handling the various eldar alternate lists...

Is EpiComms the main location of Eldar development these days?

Things just seem to be a bit lack luster compared to the level of feedback over in the Tau and Bug boards.

Cheers,

From what I read MC23 is quite busy. Lastly he polled wich craftworld was next to focus on. Saim Hann being the result.

BL,

Thanks for responding. Does that mean he's doing most of the development offline, here at epicomms, at SG, elswhere?

Where are all the pointy-headed eldar fans anyway? :p

Seems like the eldar fans would be a buz with the swordwind, bel-tain, and saim-hann lists. (not to mention the general power of the lists in E:A)

Just curious where all the chatter is...

Cheers,

I'm giving my Biel Tan a buzz tomorrow. I haven't used them much because I have mainly inexperienced players around me, and I consider the Eldar lists a bit overpowering. However this Ulthwe guy has been kicking my butt, so I am going to introduce him to the Swordwind :D

Markconz,

let us know how it goes.

PS - you can always make the eldar list up and then hand it off to one of the inexperienced guys... then ask him if you can run his list against it...

He may be inexperienced, but you'll be taking his inexperienced list against your tuned eldar list. He'll probably make errors, but it should help to balance skill levels as you'll also be doing things with his list that he probably never dreamed of!

Should work out to be a good bat rep.

You also teach the guy some new tricks in the process. ;)

HI Tactica, yes the plan is to hand my Biel Tan over to an Eldar fan and let him use them (I prefer orks anyway!). He's prety competitive and will work them out quickly. The only hold up is making some secure transport and storage for them (ie foam, thick card etc.) Just as eldar are annoying to paint  because you have to be perfect, they also have to be stored perfectly so their delicate models and paintjobs stay pristine.

PS - let us know how it goes ;)

Yep that would be a pretty accurate statement :D

Of course being an epic nut I have to have everything (except Tau because I have no money at the moment).

Sotec (David McCleod) is the Biel Tan Eldar Champion and has been scarce on here and on the SG boards.  He's been unwilling to participate in army review discussions as the army hasn't been out as long as the preferred review time.  His position has always been to wait long enough to avoid the "new army syndrome" attacks with respect to it being over-powered.

Overall, though, I think (pure speculation on my part) he realizes the issues with the army and that it is a bit too much*.

*along with the other Swordwind armies, imho.

NH,

That seems to stiffel discussion and IMO is unfortunate, but noted on all accounts.

Cheers,

Don't post for 3 days and people think you are dead. Sheesh. Truth is, my computer is dead. I'm still working on that. Poor unbacked up data.  :(

Eldar took a big hit when GW shut down the old forums. I know a lot of original contributors to the old forums took that as a sign to move on to other things. This is the most active I've seen the Eldar Forums here to date. But with a new crop of people there are new interests, that's why I'm refocusing on which lists have the most interest right now.
