I picked up an Eldar lot from a friend, and with the restrictions on getting new models I have come to terms with simply working with what I have. I am looking for insight on what list to use with what I have. I have a vast majority of troops but very little vehicles. I have at least 8 units of each Aspect, as well as some jetbikes and an avatar. Vehicle wise I have 4 wave serpents and 6 falcons, as well as 2 cobras and 2 scorpions. I was looking at the Ulthwe list since the aspect formations are smaller and I have PLENTY of guardians and warlock/farseer models. Thoughts? |

All my Eldar Infantry has transports, Falcons, Wave Serpents, etc. ... Save for Warp Spiders & Swooping Hawks ... But we still use the old SM1/SM2 hybrid Lists ... The new lists for all the Armies don't normally work for us since we've been involved in Epic since '90 ... Old School ...

Guardians with Wraithguard work well without transports (well, they can't have any). You might want a Storm Serpent, but a Wraithgate also works. |

thanks for the advice. do not get me wrong, i would get some transports and stuff if they were readily available, but that does not seem possible now. I do like wraith guard. |

Pizza cutter falcons are readily available on the 2nd hand market and of low cost. I'd readily suggest acquisition of some

If i didn't have any of the newer ones i would go for it in a sec. I have 9 of the new falcons and 4 wave serpents. |

If you're not planning to use all the cobra/scorps you could convert one to being a storm serpent. |

Pizza Cutter Falcons sound like thay'd be found next to the Steam Iron Wave Serpents. Or the Flying Hair Dryer Warp Hunter. Or... You know what, never mind. The flying pizzas are in my collection, but definitely second string as well. |

I use old school Falcons as Wave Serpents, and nu-school Falcons as...Falcons. I have that OCD thing as well, but doing the Eldar tanks this way hasn't triggered an attack yet. Yet. |

I also do what Splash does :-), Eldar do work very well with transports. |

I did manage to get a good supply of transports due to the community. I am glad since this thread derailed quite early... |
