Rug was suggesting that one should house rule larger formations for Eldar in more than 5k Games.

Just use the Big/Huge rule of the orks?

Any alternative ideas?

I was thinking something around a "dying race" rule which would have the follwing effect:

- Spirit stones on all the army, but only works on a 3+
- BTS counts double VPs against Eldar, and destroyed formations (not only broken) count double in tie-breaks agaianst eldar.

This thread is supposed to be about a house rule, NOT a tournament list proposition. Cheers!

Wouldn't the dying race rule make Eldar even harder to use in big games?

All the lists having general access to heavier kit such as the Lynx would help.

Obviously 0-1 restrictions only applying per 5k.

Well the idea would be that the Eldar has to win by VPs (achieve map objectives) and cannot afford to have the game linger to tie-break, whereas the opponent should try to weather the storm and foil Eldar complicated plans. The Eldar player has an extra tool to sustain pressure on the opponent. It's just an idea stemming from the same name rule in Epic 40k.

What is the Lynx?
