Okay, I feel pretty honored that GW stole/was inspiring by the Raiders book. The combination of everything released (from models to fiction) is indicative that somebody liked the work. ![]() |

First thing that went through my mind..."SOMEONE over at GWHQ is a fan". Ironic is it not? ![]() |

Ironic is it not? ![]() GW dumped Epic for pure business reasons, did they not? But they still sell the models and host the rules on their website, so I'm not surprised that somebody still has a soft spot for it, even if they can't talk about it too much. |

This also reduces the chance of me being sued I suppose. Why would they ruin their source of inspiration? ![]() I think Epic was dumped because they were consolidating their business. It didn't matter what it was. Much like a body reduces blood flow to your arms and legs when it is cold to protect the core. It may not look or feel like a good move to lose a hand to frostbite, but it's better than dying. But back on the Dark Eldar, I seriously am wondering what dealings Jervis had with them. Whoever it was that was inspired must have started awhile ago (2009?) when Raiders was relatively new. |

He walked in, dropped it on the desk and said 'add this to the background file'. maybe. ![]() |

Not exactly. The original idea came from a bit of fiction I found on the web - no author cited - threw it out to the group and IIRC it was met with a moderate level of disdain. ![]() |

More Dark Eldar stuff here. Things that struck me as very familiar: Giant claws coming out of back of arena beast. Wyches carrying morning stars. Too fun! |

Anyone else think the Cronos Parasite Engine could have potential for converting to a Slaanesh titan in Epic? (not sure whether a Reaver or Warlord) ![]() |

Why not just use it for the DE titan that appears in the Raiders supplement? Name escapes me, but you know the one. |

I don't personally collect DE, but you're right that could be a good option. Though actually maybe the model might be lot to big for that? It's on the large 60mm flying stand to give a sense of scale and the DE titan is only DC4. |
