I was looking at the NetEA approved Eldar list for Biel-tan and noticed that the War Walkers are no longer 6 for 200 points. The pricing has been changed to 4-6 War Walkers for 35 points each. When was this approved? Or was it? Is this a cut/paste error? |

I don't recall that, but since Chroma made the docs and he's the Eldar AC, I would defer to him. |

5% increase...hmmm...interesting. Penalty maybe for taking less than 6? |

Then I shall scour the site for examples, clearly I am not playing them correctly. |

They are my second favorite Eldar unit. Definitely worth taking! - I just love finding these little 'treasures' in supposedly solid lists right before I go to a tournament. Okay, Chroma. Where the devil did this come from? I'm not saying it is a bad thing or a good thing, I just want to know what the justification was behind it and if there was any playtesting done at all. |

I just talked to him. He says its not a typo, it's a change to make them a bit more desirable. So your list stands Mosc. |

I'll run with it, but it seems arbitrary. |

I asked Chroma about that some months ago. In the definitive versions, Warwalkers will cost 35pts each (in 4-6 formations), in every armylists. |

They're a bit more expensive at 35 each, so you can squeeze an upgrade or two by shorting yourself 1 or 2 of them. I don't know about a min-maxed Eldar army through a vast purchase of War Walkers... Bill you should give that a shot at the tourney! If anything it's helping out the guys who bought the E40k blisters. Didn't they have 4 or 5 in them? |

Well I see 4 Walkers at 35 points each worth more than 6 war walkers at 35 points each as it allows 'choice' which is the real gain here. To offset such a boon (as I see it), I would suggest the following: 4 War Walkers = 160 points Add up to 2 Walkers +25 points each It would help to alleviate sub 150 point formations in a SR4 army. |
