G'day all, Having never used an Eldar army, I have a question about the Avatar. When an Avatar is summoned, does it become part of the formation that summoned it or is it a formation by itself? Thanks for any clarification with this. Cheers, Steve. |

It is it's own formation. |

Spectrar Ghost wrote: It is it's own formation. That is correct. It is its own formation and has its own activation during the turn it is summoned. |

Got another question about the avatar, figured id add it to this rather than starting a new thread. When it says that the avatar is removed in the end phase. Is it at the Start of the end phase or the END of the end phase? Its important to know since it can count as a unit for holding/contesting an objective or causing a unit to have a negative mod for being a enemy unit within 30cm for the regroup roll. |

At the start - it isn't there by the time you do rallies and objectives! |

Checking for goals/objectives is explicitly noted as happening at the very end of the turn. All effects have to be resolved first. Titans may explode. Daemons may vanish into the warp. Formations may rally (can't capture or contest objectives, but they do count for They Shall Not Pass). A burning Gargant may finally die. |
