Since we're in an Eldar mood lately... Conventional wisdow says that the the Titan Pulsar weapons on the Phantom and Warlock Titans aren't as good an option as the Power Fist. Change MW3+ to MW2+ ? |

A counter suggestion might be to reduce the number of shooting attacks that the Pfist has. Doing that has the benefit of opening up a role for a new arm weapon to be named later in the ETC list (a high rate of fire AT/AP weapon). |

[drama]Is five enough? Never! When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, was that enough? Of course not! I mean, it's not like I'm suggesting anything crazy here, like allowing phantoms to have access to seven different weapons. I'm not completely out of my mind. No no, six will be plenty.[/drama] Seriously, though, most of the existing phantom arm weapons are geared toward killing WEs, with considerable overlap. Assuming everyone is onboard with the tremor cannon being a BP weapon, that still leaves a niche for a gun with stats similar to the AMTL's turbolasers/vulcan megabolter/gattling blaster. Right now, the Pfist is the closest thing to that, and it also carries with it all those hardcore assault abilities. So, I was just suggesting that, maybe, it doesn't need to have as many abilities as it has. That, of course, assumes that a twin-pulsar Phantom is actually worth the 750 pts. |

If I remember correctly, in SM/TL, the pulsar has 2 modes : one concentrated (to smash the WE) and one dispersed (to take down armoured vehicles). So, what about these : Titan Pulsar : 75cm, 2xMA3+, TK(1) OR 75cm, 6xAP3+/AT3+ ? or Titan Pulsar : 75cm, 2xMA3+, TK(1) OR 75cm, 3BP, MA ? ... well, the titan pulsar just lacks pulsing things ... 2xMA2+, TK(1) sounds just like 2 death rays, not pulsing death rays. |

In Wh40k the Pulsar is a 60" Strength D, Ap 2 weapon with two 5" Template shots. Revenant Titans, Scorpion SHGTs and Vampire Raiders are all armed with this. Perhabs the Phantom Titan is armed with the same weapons but we will only know for sure until we can see it in Imperial Armour 11. EDIT: Looked up the TL/SM2nd Pulsar in "Epic Renegades". There you roll to hitonce if you shoto at a single target. If youhit the target will be hit D6 times. Eachhit can be saved separately. If firing at a group of targets you use the barrage template instead and rollto hit for every model under the template. The TL/SM2nd Pulsar has a one attackdice 2+ to hit and a -2 armour modifier. |

Maybe just up the the TK value of each shot to TK (D3) per hit ? |

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but here I go. I just aquired some epic eldar stuff and looking through the new epic lists on here none of the weapons have pulse anymore. Is that an over sight? Or did they lose the Pulse ability? Thanks in advance. |

Based on the most recent official rules update, the pulse rule was removed, and all previous pulse weapons were given 2x number of shots. |

Do i recall that the powerfist also gives extra FF attacks? If so then those should go. I like the idea of giving the pulsar two firing modes as in days of yore. For reference I did come 6th at my first ever UK tourney running a phantom with twin pulsars :-) |

My "official" recommendation, as NetEA Eldar Champion, would be to try the Titan Pulsars at 3 x MW3+ as an initial test and report back. A dual firing mode could be interesting, but I'd rather take a smaller step first. |
