Thought I ought to post the latest Yme-Loc Craftworld army list; I submitted this one to the Epic Army Competition as well.

Enjoy the massive firepower!

:) Chains of Vaul. ?I don't know about the balance but it is a cool name.
??? Titans. ?With all the focus on skimmers should the option to take titans be reduced (ex. take away the Warlock) or eliminated? ?
??? Any consideration to adding another SHT? ?Somebody else had an idea for one floating around here someplace.
??? Swords of Vaul Warhost. ?It seems underpriced given the greater sustainability a larger formation achieves.
??? Jet bikes seem out of place, although Vypers don't. ?Maybe that is just me though.

But in general I do like it.  I am 'snipping' your Gate of Vaul for the Lugganath list.

:) Chains of Vaul. ?I don't know about the balance but it is a cool name.

Well, it can be balanced via points... I'd hope! ?These pointy-eared boys like their toys!

??? Titans. ?With all the focus on skimmers should the option to take titans be reduced (ex. take away the Warlock) or eliminated?

Well, the only "information" we've got on Yme-Loc is the following:

"The Eldar of Yme-Loc are talented artisans, and their armies are supported by powerful grav-tanks and Titans.

So I think they should be tank and Titan heavy... the tanks the "Warhosts" and the Titans the support, still leaves room for a "Titan-warhost" army list, which I believe your Lugganath is, yes?
??? Any consideration to adding another SHT? ?Somebody else had an idea for one floating around here someplace.
I think the desire for a "replacement" Engine of Vaul was because no other Craftworlds get the "artillery tank" of the Void Spinner... I think the Chains of Vaul cover that nicely. ?*laugh*
??? Swords of Vaul Warhost. ?It seems underpriced given the greater sustainability a larger formation achieves.
They're still eggshell armoured Eldar... *laugh* ?This list hasn't been playtested that much, I could see it going to 400 points or so... and they do pay more for the Fire Prism upgrade than a Swords of Vaul Troupe.
??? Jet bikes seem out of place, although Vypers don't. ?Maybe that is just me though.
Which Jetbikes? ?For the Warhost upgrades? ?That's "3 Vyper Jetbikes" not "3 Vypers or Jetbikes"... is that what you mean?

But in general I do like it. ?I am 'snipping' your Gate of Vaul for the Lugganath list.
I would hope you would! *laugh* ?Any plans on updates for Lugganath?

Lugganath is still 'supported' in the sense that I will respond to any suggestions for it and make changes eventually.  I have lots of bits ready for titan conversions once I have the time for them.  However it is on hold until Raiders is completed.  Once that project is done I can concentrate on the Titan heavy list.  To be honest though I'd like to see AMTL and OGBM get settled first as I'd like to match the feel of those lists with the Lugganath list.  Lugganath really is a list that responds to those Titan heavy lists while being compatible with Epic standard lists.  If they do them properly we'll see the larger titans showing up and being appropriately equipped and costed.

Getting back to yours though I have no issue with titans being on the list if that is what the fluff calls for.  The jetbike troupe is what I was referring to, however.  It just seems everything is 'carapaced' on the list but them. :)  It might be a fun limitation to force them to use Vypers instead of allowing jet bikes - even in a troupe.

But the Swords of Vaul are probably better costed at 400 points or more.

Chains of Vaul sounds like a wet dream of Eldar commander..

Here is one 3000 point army:
5 Vampire
Warlock Titan
Revenants
Swords of Vaul Warhost
Gate of Vaul

Maybe max 50% on titans/navy (but no more than 33% in navy). Or 0-1 titan formation for each warhost..

This is probably a stupid question but in the swords of Vaul host, I assume the farseer unit is aboard a falcon and not on foot?  ???

It does make the unit a bit slower if not

Falcons have the Transport ability and can transport the farseer, I think, even if he is on foot.

I'd love to face that army!

You've got *three* scoring formations in it... *laugh*

Give it a playtest and see how it does!   :D

Curious, is there any justification for having single revenant formations in any of the Eldar lists? (Not specifically this one).

Edit - actually I seem to recall - a phantom has a triplet crew, while Revenant pilots are twins (and warlocks quads??). Is that correct?

It's something like that... though I *think* the Warlock is three plus an 'active' Infinity Circuit or something.

But, yeah, Revenants are supposed to be "twins", so that's why they've always in pairs.

hey Chroma, i'm going to my gaming club tonight and will try to get a playtest game in, may not get time to do a full battle report (due to only having the table for two hours) but i will try to get some good photos of the highlights and tell you how it went.

Okay, zombie thread I suppose, but I was thinking about this type of list...

SoV warhost: if the changes to fire prism happens (AP4+/AT2+ no AA), consider allowing more of them into the host. Also, why 7 falcons, instead of 8, or 9 or 6? Just curious. I think I would have gone with 8 Falcons with the option to swap for Fireprisms for +15 pts each, based on the proposed changes.

EoV warhost: consider making the base warhost 2 EoVs for 475 or 500, with the option to add a third. Otherwise, I doubt this will get much play. Doing this might mean you have to drop the EoV troupe though.

Ranger troupe: consider allowing upgrading some rangers to war walkers for +10 pts each. This might mean dropping the separate war walker troupe. The idea being that this craftworld has a closer relationship to it's technology.

Guardian troupe: consider adding a Vyper upgrade (3 or 4 vypers for 100 or 150 points) to the troupe if it also takes wave serpents... "if the troupe is mounted in wave serpents, then it maybe also add 4 vypers for +150 pts" Also, you could include this as a Warhost, but force the player to include either a)wave serpents or b)support and heavy weapon platforms.

CoV troupe: consider bumping up the troupe size to 5 or 6 Night spinners (or maybe have an option of adding 2 more for +100 points or something). That would make the troupe a bit more resistant to BMs without dramatic loss of output. Maybe make the Firestrorm an upgrade: 5 night spinners for 300 pts with the option to add 1 firestorm OR 1 Night Spinner for 65 pts.
