As in what has been made different from what's written in swordwind?

The Sotec 1.8 changes should be ignored, they didn't make it past Jervis's vetting process.

The Errata/FAQ on the Specialist site has the "official" rules review changes that were accepted.

The NetEA changes are currently being ratified and can be found at the about link.

As a service to the community, here is the approved list of Eldar changes culled from the Tourney Mods document

ELDAR: BIEL-TAN CRAFTWORLD

Army list changes

• Guardian Warhost: remove “3 Wraithguard units for +150 points, replace with “2-3 Wraithguard +50 points eachâ€Â

Feel free to discuss that here or in the general Epic forum.

So, what are people's thoughts?  Too radical, not radical enough... just right?   :;):

Bloody confusing.

I've read Sotec's revisions (1.8) on Specialist Games.

I've read the official errata document from SG which only has a couple of changes.

I've now read this thread which has more than the official errata but less than Sotec's.

Those Prism stats still look mighty mean, my poor Russes.

Hey Occulto

Sotec handed off the Eldar Champion duties to me a while back, so feel free to ask me any questions you've got.

First off, disregard and forget the Sotec 1.8 revisions... they're history.

The basic Errata 2008 changes were the "minimalist" changes Jervis wanted to make.

The changes listed above by semajnollissor are the "Net EA" recommended changes... the changes I think that need to be made to make the Biel-Tan Eldar balanced for Tournament play.

So, questions?

At least they can't shoot down your Thunderbolts anymore!  *laugh*

I can vouch for the Fire Prisms being awesome tank killers (and extremely useful vs titans). However, they are still 3 for 250, so they aren't overpowered by any means.

I do think that if the Swords of Vaul formation is introduced in a alt list, they may need to be 75 or 80 pts apiece instead of 65 as originally suggested. I say this because versus any armour in the game, a squadron of 6 fire prisms on a double move can pretty much take care of one formation per turn, even in turn 1.

I'm psyched, with this decision made, we can get back to work on the alt craftworld lists.

Ah cool. Thanks for clearing that up.  :agree:
