im very new to epic eldar. i play eldar in 40k, but i quily learned that that doesnt account for much when translated to epic. i notice that alot of people mix up the aspects when they run them in a host, like dire avengers and dark repaers, or howlong banshees and fire dragons.

can someone explain to me the more commonly used combos so i can get a feel for them, and explain why each combi is used.

thanks

Welcome to the Craftworld, [b]studderingdave[b]!

The usual mix for Aspect Warriors is half good close combat troops and half good firefight troops... so 4 Dire Avengers and 4 Striking Scorpions is a very common mix!  This way you can face practically any opponent you might meet.

You might want to try four Fire Dragons and 4 Howling Banshees as well!

Warp Spiders work best as "pure" Hosts, as do Shining Spears.  If you want to teleport with them, Swooping Hawks need to be pure as well; personally, I like putting two Swooping Hawks in other formations to give them fast scouts.

Dark Reapers can be good to add to the mix to give initial Blast markers as they've got a good range and decent anti-infantry shooting.

I'm sure some other Farseers will show up to give other tips, and I'd recommend looking over Eldar battle reports to see what people are fielding!
