Full Discussion The dilemma has come up on the Dark Eldar List development on how to handle the Slavebringer Assault Boat. ?It is a War Engine Aircraft. ? Some of us want to use the following method to determine how many can be bought instead of including it in the 1/3 aircraft/titan allotment. Xisor's Idea: The 0-1 per formation thing is this: - It's a list constraint, not an upgrade to a formation. You may only have one slavebringer for every other formation in the list without a transport. - It stops armies consisting entirely of Slavebringers (Eg a 2700pt List with 900pts of Reaper/Razorwing/Raven and 1800pts[9] of Slavebringer) - It should really be 0-1 per infantry [allowing for Talos to be transported] formation without a transport. It would be best to read page 7 of the above link and cast your vote. ?Thanks for your participation in the development of the Dark Eldar list. |

NB- I voted in the 250pts category. I'd rather not see it *that* expensive, but I'm reasonably happy to see it go up in price if it means we'll see it out of the 1/3 limit[which is a fair compromise IMO]. My solution itself is this: Add the following as an additional upgrade[like the Barges of Pleasure] to any formation we wish to be transported in one of these- +Xpts for a Slavebringer Assault Boat. The formation loses its other transports [Raiders]. The Slavebringer is for all intents and purposes a seperate formation. The only tricky bit I see is Victory Points. A simple statement of use the cost of the upgrade to calculate it's victory points works well IMO. |

There are a lot of readers who have been following the Dark Eldar development, but not a lot of votes here. Ultimately, you will be playing with this list (well, somebody will be) so we want to get as much feedback on this as possible. The crux of it is this: Do we allow Slavebringers (WE Air tranports) to have their point value included in the 1/3 Titans/Air Units allotment... Or not. (Xisor's method). The details are on the thread, predominantly on page 7 toward the bottom half. For certain reasons we're deadlocked, and we'd like to get feedback from the community on what YOU believe is the right way to go with the list. The most updated unit stats are pinned to the top of this section of EpiComms. We look forward to your input, since the list is going nowhere in a hurry without it. |

Slavebringer has been resolved to Xisor's method. Thanks for participating! The Dark Eldar List will be put out in pdf format hopefully by the end of the week along with counters for playtesting. |
