First off, outstanding report, thanx for posting. I do have a couple of comments though.

The Ork list: Is this how you normally field them or have seen them fielded? It doesn't come anywhere close to what we see. Usually fewer formations with much larger mobs, two 12 by Blitz brigades (6 gun, 6 flak), very large foot mobs that always garrison objectives so that they can start across the board and get to grips by Turn 2 at the latest, one big gunz mob vs. several, no stompas. Anyway, you get the picture. So our challenges are around inflicting enough damage to keep those formations off of "our" side of the board.

Eldar list: Looking to see how this shakes out. Our local Eldar player focuses on  Guardians in Wave Serpents, Wind rider hosts, Falcon troupes, Fire prisms, and a Scorpion or two for seasoning. Also, I would mention that Guardians are not for "guarding" if their FF remains at +4, it is for supporting other assaults which they are extremely good at.

Again, thanx for the report and I look forward to reading the next one.

Thanks!  I really enjoy doing the Battle Reports!

Well, it's a variation on how I usually field Orks.  Since I kind of focus on Bad Moons, I like taking a lot of "flash tek!", so lots of shooting and guns and barrages.  I love Stompas, and these were the first games I made extensive use of Supa-Stompas, and usually garrison them up ahead with the Big Gunzmobs (the Supas, prevent garrisoning though).

I do field mobz of Boyz as well, sometimes mechanized, but, honestly, I don't think I've ever fielded an 'Uge Mob of any kind, whether Blitz Brigade, Kult of Speed, or Warbands... I like having a few more activations than just 6 at 3000 points!  *laugh*

I suppose playing against Necrons and Steel Legions, as well as Tyranids, have moved me away from putting so many greenskinned eggs in one basket.

Yeah, I usually field a Guardian/Grav-tank heavy Eldar force when I field them, and have just been changing it up a bit for the proposal playtests.

And *laugh* I'm well aware of how good Guardians are as assault/support troops... I just like joking about them being "guards"... since it's in their name.   :D

Guardians in cover and on overwatch (with Weapon Platforms), guarding an Objective, are a thorny thing to deal with most times.

Again, thanx for the report and I look forward to reading the next one.

Well, I have another game or two scheduled for Thursday, fielding Eldar, but the opposing army is a mystery.  (Had an Orks vs Steel Legions game Monday night, 3000 points, but it was purely for fun so no battle logging... Orks 3 to 0, in Turn 3... WAAAGH!)
