Effective range basically the same on advance, revenants otherwise faster.
Skimmer is slightly better than jump packs.
Scorpions can take 20.25 hits against AT weaponry, 13.5 hits vs MW and 9 vs TK. Each critical does an average of 1.5 extra damage however, and there will be 1.5 of them on average. That's 5 fewer hits from normal weaponry.
Revenants can take 18 hits against all types of weaponry. The average 1 critical will reduce that but not by as much as for the scorpions. I think 3 fewer hits on average for AT weaponry. So basically revenants are more resilient to kills, but of course less resilient to BMs.
Scorpions dish out average 5 MW hits, revenants 4. Revenants gain more from sustaining, scorpions lose less from doubling.
Then there's 1+ initiative...
Personally I'd usually rather have 2 revenants than 3 scorpions of an equal cost, but I reckon it's close.
Scorpions/EoV being skimmers are also effectively immune to CC, rendering many deepstriking assaults rather neutered. Skimmers can always choose to use their FF value right? If so in my mind that's a considerable advantage over revenants.
