Any tips people have/have seen?

Stealth - empty scenic base, maybe with some shimmering over stones and similar
Firewarriors - I use 1st edition plastic Eldar guardians
Drones - few ideas but I would stick them 4 to a base (with 40k being 4-8 strong)
Pathfinders - ? How would they look three to a base? Though again since they are 4-8 in 40k I'd stick them 4 to a base.
Crisis - everyone seems to get away with 2 to abase though technically they should be 3.
Broadsides - are you sure they look okay on their own? How do people 'bulk' out the stands?

The DRM Kraytonian Bodyguards make awesome Firewarriors.

One Battlesuit with one drone looks great on the 20mm square bases.  You could also do drones with a hole punch and some plastic card and rod really cheap.

I've done the following with my FW tau models.

Broadsides go on round 20 mm washers. The hole in the middle of the washer is great for holding the base of the model.

I used to base Crisis suits as above but rebased them to Epic infantry stands when the stats changed to infantry. Two per base is ok and there is room for a single shield drone for commanders.

Fire warriors go on infantry bases. I've mixed gun drones in there so that some stands have three FW, some have four FW and some have four FW and one drone. The stands with three models look a bit "bald". I used three-per-base when starting out, so as to get many bases done quickly. Later, when I had the time, I added the missing models. I filled the slots with blu-tac and painted and flocked over it. This allows for later changes.

I base Kroot (FW Kroot and old IG Beastmen) and humans on shortened infantry bases with four models each. If you are short on budget, cutting away the fifth hole from a base will lower your costs by 20% and the stands still look just as good.

If you don't want empty bases for Stealth Suits, I think the Swooping Hawk Exarchs without wings would be a fair equivalent.

I've seen them used as Necron Pariahs to great effect, and the guns look about the same.  They were fairly cheap on eBay when I grabbed some last year.
