A number of interesting and informative threads have come up over the course of development. Rather than leaving them pinned and cluttering the boards, or letting them drop out of sight, I have decided to put all relevant or interesting posts/threads here. |

(Nerroth @ Dec. 19 2005,17:35) QUOTE Hi! Having checked with JimmyGrill beforehand, I have put his Third Sphere Campaign up for us to use - he has no problem with us drawing on it if necessary (This will go up at the Battlefleet Gothic board too, as it is relevant to the CPF development) I would not be too surprised if the new fluff in the upcoming Codex left most of this work valid for inclusion in the lists - I intend to include the Timbra sub-sector map in the Gue'senshi doc - as reference for background material and as for a basis for any scenarios should we add them to the list... So, here they are! (My host won't allow hotlinking, so copy and paste the links into your address bar) CS, could you please sticky this? Cover for the Campaign Prologue - Fires on the Horizon Part One - Encircled Part One Epilogue Part Two - Mountain Combat Part Two Epilogue Part Three - The Devil's Stairway Part Three Epilogue Part Four - The First Line Part Four Epilogue Part Five - Loot Part Five Epilogue Part Six - Perihelion Part Six Epilogue Part Seven - Ground Part Seven Epilogue Part Eight - Escort Part Eight Epilogue Part Nine - Omega Day Part Nine Epilogue Part Ten - Fire Brigade Part Ten Epilogue Parts One to Ten, collected together (in Adobe Acrobat format) Parts 11-16 are only in German (Jimmy hasn't translated them yet - and probably won't have the time to) but it's safe to assume that Roalck Sea and Shadat Gulao end up as part of the Greater Good. Gary In case there are any problems with the above links, it has been suggested that I host a copy. So, you have also get the full campaign (all parts), in PDF form, from here: http://www.epic40k.co.uk/images/EATau-3rdSphere.pdf |

(JimmyGrill @ Jul. 08 2005,22:29) QUOTE Currently, the Tau range for Epic is only available from Forge World. However, some units that are in the current army list aren't available as models at all: Heavy Drones Great Knarloc Stingray Swordfish Narwhal (Scorpionfish) Moray Whiteshark The Stingray can be represented by the Missile Hammerhead model, possibly with larger missile tubes: Example conversion Painted: Stingray: 1 2 3 4 The Swordfish will be a slightly more complex conversion based on a railgun Hammerhead, but at a pinch you could go for a simpler solution more directly based on the Hammerhead. Example conversion Painted: 1 2 3 The Narwhal (Scorpionfish) is simply an Orca with added missiles: Example conversion Painted: 1 2 3 The Moray is about the size of the Tau Bombers, and can be very well represented by the BFG Emissary model (as I have done in the example); a Protector would also be a good choice. Example conversion The Whiteshark also isn't available at the time of writing, but FW is apparently already working on the model - in any event you can check out their 40K model at their homepage. (JimmyGrill @ Jul. 08 2005,23:11) QUOTE Talking about painted models, the Narwhal (Scorpionfish) is already painted up: Narwhal 1 Narwhal 2 Narwhal 3 A Stingray and a Swordfish are lying around on my painting table (for about a month or so) half-painted, but I dare not say when those are finally finished. Maybe tomorrow ![]() ![]() ![]() (JimmyGrill @ Jul. 14 2005,20:58) QUOTE

(Dobbsy @ Aug. 22 2006,14:55) QUOTE CS - we discussed this a few weeks ago now but I havent heard from you about it so I just plodded on with it. I haven't yet put the Unit Datasheets or Army List in yet though as it is WIP at the present. If anyone is unhappy with it I'll take it down. Beautified Tau List (Nerroth @ Oct. 02 2006,13:49) QUOTE Here it is as an Adobe Acrobat file, using Primo PDF: shiny, eh? Please fell free to give the Grenadiers the same treatment! Gary (CyberShadow @ Dec. 07 2006,11:24) QUOTE Ah ha! I found my half-baked version. Just throwing it out as a conversation piece - please dont feel that this is in any way my suggestion on how to do it. EA Tau enhanced list (CyberShadow @ Dec. 08 2006,14:33) QUOTE
