I want to add to the presentation of the Tau list as soon as I can, and one thing that I would like to do is to include as many pictures of Tau units as possible, to scatter through the list. This would help people to visualise the force, and provide inspiration for those minis which are not currently in production, as well as provide a guide to various colour schemes.

So, I have created this thread to request people to attach pictures of their EA Tau units - both individually (with unit stats) and in 'battle situations' (for use through the force list to add depth).

Please note that if you do upload pics here, I will assume that you are OK with me including them in the force list.

JG, your Camo scheme is incredible! :cool: The black lines seem to increase the 3D perception of the mini (armor plates look heavy).

How did you convert the "Hero". Emissary?s?

The conversion was made this way:
- cut front-emissary wings
- cut rear-emissary prow
- assembled front with rear.
- filed the front part (where the wings were cut) using a round file.
- used the spare prow to make the rear command deck
- used the spare wings on the Manta

Baron, what are the heavy drones in front of the broadsides in the picture made of? Are they based on 40K drones or what?
Nope :laugh: 40K drones are even bigger than a Hammerhead.

These are drone turret tops. But don't worry, I replaced the missing tops with pins on the turret so that they stay usable.

Heavy drones are also quite easy to scratch-built if you find the right plastic bits. Below, the hevy drones on the right come from a squadron which was entirely scratch-built. 2 parts only, so it cost me nothing and didn't gave me a headache :8):

If you ask, here it is... you may be deceived because it is unconverted, as I found the rail batteries to be as good an approximation for ion phalanxes.

Well, I decided to try my hand at some Tau objectives. The pictures are the best thing in the world... and there's no flock (or paint) yet, but here's what I decided to go with.

The bottom of the Tau structures are the fusion blaster sentry turrets. I decided to use the turret tops for my heavy gun drone stands (also pictured). I put the Swordfish in just for comparison.
