Not sure if this has been suggested or not (I don't recall all that has been said about them)but I am just curious to know if Sniper Drone teams could be added to Fire Warriors as an upgrade. They might make FWs more interesting and it would give SDs a place in the list. Or are ppl against this due to upgrade slot restrictions?

Diversity is good, too much diversity produces chaos. Serious, I would like some rules for them , but I don?t think that at the Epic Scale they won?t have that impact if you just add the odd stand, and I can?t see a justification to have an entire formation of 4 Stands of them. They have a better purpose in 40k. Cheers! Steele

My current position on these is that they will not be included in the list. This is for a number of reasons: - miniatures: we simple dont have enough diversity to represent the sniper dron teams on the tabletop, at least not without specifically formulating which stands can have drones and what they mean. - scale: they simply dont represent a strong enough role on the Epic field. They may be added to a Cadre in 40K but in Epic their effectiveness is lost unless we consider them giving a bonus to assaults and firefights. - rules: I am fairly sure that they would require additional special rules, and I dont think that the trade-off makes it worth the extra bulk. Thanks.

In truth, I think this is one of the hardest things for 40k players who try and come over to Epic to understand. The impact a particular weapon has on the 40k battlefield (table) is different then on the Epic battlefield.

Just as I would never expect to see a whole company of Super Heavies on a 40k game, I do not want to worry about nor try and make rules for every little 40k special unit just because they exist in 40k.

Err actually I'm not a 40K player but I understand completely. i was just curious to know where we stood on this issue. Wasn't trying to further any agenda. :cool:

Sorry, I was not meaning you specificly. I was thinking in a more general sense. :o0

In fact the one I remember the most was the person who was fighting to have his list of Grenade types added into the basic rules. Further he wanted us to track, per stnad, the grenade types they had and how many they had. Why? Because that is how it was when he played 40k.

So I am sorry, I was not meaning to slam you. :blush:
