Hi all, in the past week Tactica posted a plea for help in the tyranid forum about the current rules (4.3.3) not being on Army Builder. Well I took up the task (even although I don't own Epic Tau) and did the file, I plan to post it after lunch so you may use it. Disclaimer: I am not responsible in anyway for anything that may happen to you, your computer, dog, relatives or other related stuff. The file is actually fine and has no errors, but I'd rather have the disclaimer

Well, Tactica is kindly helping me with quality assurance, and he found a couple of minor issues that I will be fixing, so I won't upload the file todat, you can expect it on monday once I iron out the details, just wanted to let you guys know. |

ObiWan is the man... the file is a thing of beauty. Cheers to him for taking on the role. Indeed - he did answer my plea for help. I love AB and the E:A Tau. I can give you guys a teaser on behalf of ObiWan... hopefully he doesn't mind. Just excited about the file's existence! It DEFINITELY makes putting an army together that much easier!  The units are all in from v4.3.3 All formations are in and available from v4.3.3 Sorting buttons on: - Cadre, Contingents, Air Caste, and Alien Aux. Almost all upgrades can be taken. Spot checking of points and weapons appears adequate. Print out looks great! Weapon stats are all printed out for the list - no more sorting through pages of datasheets! Remaining work as I see it... Detail review of weapons and points Pathfinder Devilfish are currently always on Set Validation threshold at 3 upgrades max Set FW and PF Devilfish option to not count as an upgrade Finalize Tau upgrade issues 1. Heavy Gun Drone for Crisis Cadre aren't there yet 2. Add the HH Upgrade 3. Make the HH upgrade available for a. AMHC b. FW Cadre c. Crisis Cadre d. HH Contingent 4. Swordfish upgrade doesn't replace HH tanks yet Cheers Obiwan This is SOOOO much better than building by hand and having to reference the list for stats!, |

Well guys, in the meantime I solved the major issues left, so I here proudly present the 4.3.3 file for AB 2.2. You only have to unzip in the data folder of the army builder folder, if asked wheter you want to overwrite a file with the existing name, click yes. What I fixed on the file from the things Rob comments: *HH upgrade is done for all the formations. *Validation on more than 3 upgrades is now done *Pathfinders' DF are not always on anymore *Neither FW of PF DF count as upgrades *The Heavy Drone upgrade for any formation other than gun drones is, rule wise, fuzzy to me, I thought only gun drone squadrons could have that, so couild someone please clear that? (bear in mind I don't play Epic Tau, though I'd love too )The only thing left is the swordfish, since you can add it to the formation but given the way hammerheads are implemented, it's too difficult to replace them (at least for my AB Creator-Fu humble skills ?  ) so that remains as is until the new list oficially arrives so when I make the update I can think of some modifications.I'd like to thank Rob for his enthusiastic support, that probably encouraged me to finish quickly. Also my thanks go to the author of the past Tau EA file, since I based myself on that one instead of writing from scratch the file, that saved me a couple hours time, I don't know who might that be but thanks for creating the foundation for the current file. Edit: I forgot, if you find any anomaly please post it here, the file is pretty solid but if any bug made it out, or I mistyped any number, please let me know. |

Obiwan, You da man!  BTW: Heavy gun drones are easy. First you either have to have access to 'all upgrades' or you have to have the 'heavy gun drone' upgrade available to you on the army list. Now - in order to take the 'heavy gun drone upgrade' - there is a prerequisite to have 4 gun drone units in your formation first. Its worth noting that not ALL formations that can take gun drones can take HEAVY gun drones. Therefore, formations that can take just gun drones OR BOTH gun drones & HEAVY gun drones are: 1. FW Cadre 2. Crisis Cadre 3. Gun Drone Squadron Formations that can ONLY take regular gun drones are: Armored Mobile Hunter Cadre (AMHC) 1. PF Contingent 2. Stealth Contingent 3. Broadside Contingent Hope that helps, Cheers for the list again - whoo-hoo!
