FW have announced on their facebook that they're looking at doing a second edition of the Taros campaign. If they're not replacing the Epic rules with something else (and unlike the Imperial Guard there's not that many extra units at present - just the Remoras and Hazard suits, and potentially a new codex vehicle if they're not going to stick to the historical units) it might be worth sending them an updated version of the army list and rules for inclusion. Might even spur a brief re-release of the old models... |

Wishful thinking perhaps but wouldn't that be great. |

More likely though I'd imagine is that they'll jettison the epic (and probably BFG) lists entirely and replace the with their aeronautica imperialis stuff instead. It'd act as a fairly good springboard for new peeps into a game they probably know nothing about and Forge World's Tau range is their most extensive AI range. |

Honestly I think the most likely thing is either for the Epic to disappear entirely and be replaced by a broadly similar Apocalypse games and a slightly tweaked campaign, or for things to remain pretty much as they are (especially if they have the updated Tau Epic and Gothic lists - as both of those have now changed far as official tournaments go). I imagine the initial brief is probably leaning towards the former, which is a shame as the FW books seem to be the ideal place and targeted at the ideal audience for a multi-system campaign. |

The last but two Imperial Armour book about Badab did have new BFG rules in and though they've said they won't add this in again I think, they may leave the existing bits in for Taros. It could be worth a try, getting them to put the current Net-EA Tau list instead, but I'm not getting my hopes up. |

I was curious to see if the re-issue of this and other Imperial Armour books would mean a limited re-issue of the models within. (Inhale and hold breath?) |

Probably unlikely also, but perhaps if a lot of us rung Forge World and asked for a temporary re-release? (promising to buy LOTS). They have a few times temporarily re-released that one Lord of the Rings scenery piece they did at appropriate times, so might be possible. |

Might be worth seeing if we could get a list for a limited run - if they know they're going to sell at least 50 sets of firewarriors/kroot/crisis suits or what have you they might decide that they can save themselves a bit of work and just update the epic pages. It was Chaos and Evil who was trying to give them some masters to produce, did he ever get a any information regarding what sort of numbers they'd need for a run? |

Yes, and as far as I know, FW aren't interested. Period. |

Slightly different from having a set number of pre-orders, as you wouldn't have the various warehousing and stocking issues (I'm guessing FW don't cast on demand) that you'd encounter when it's just the initial design stages that are free, meaning that they'd still cost you money over time. Number's probably fairly high (especially if they're running at full capacity and you'd need to sacrifice time from more profitable lines), but it's a slightly different approach and more than anything I was really just curious. |
