A friend of mine told me about a game where he suffered an orbital bombardment followed by a Terminator/Thunderhawk assault at the very start of a game. It ripped apart the BTS and seriously damaged his battleplan before he had a chance to respond. Now I am currently using 5 Crisis on foot which is my BTS, but I am struggling to see what I could possibly do to counter this kind of alpha strike. Realistically I can see myself having coverage from 2 Skyrays, and so far they have been pretty pants at shooting down TBolots, let alone an armoured monstrosity like a THawk. Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can prevent this, or would I just have to take it on the chin and avenge the fallen? |

Well you have to remember that orbital bombardments have to be plotted before you set up forces so to can try to avoid these with careful double bluffing. The air assault just has to be taken, AA helps as does close support (nice tight deployment) but again if you get caught by the OB then you are in trouble. |

Putting things on overwatch from garrisoning can help too - remember you can garrison off the blitz... |
