OK here is version 6.4 of the Tau Third Phase Expansion Force, I have added photo's and made some very minor adjustments. At this point the army list will be frozen for at least a year baring any major mistakes being discovered.

Hopefully there are no big problems but if you spot any mistakes let me know.

List of Changes
1. Photo's added
2. Tigershark cost reduced to 175pts, added to notes that Drones being transported in Tigersharks dont count for blastmarkrs if a Tigershark is shot down.
3. Orca loses the fixed forward arc on its missile pods as a minor boost and because the model has the missile pods on the same weapon mount as the burst cannons which already have 360 fire.
4. Devilfish loses the Drones from transport option, basically reversing a change I made in the last version of the list so the Drone Harbriner can be added to future variant lists and have a distinct role.
5. Krootox added to Manta transport.

SHould the note about the Tau range being available from FW be removed at this time?

Haven't given it a detailed look, but the formatting and pics are aces.

Or at least modified so that it says "Was formerly available, but by visiting eBay you may be able to aquire second hand models...".

It was decided that it would fit better in an "armoured regiment" type variant army list, rather than being in the core Tau army list.

From one of the old lists :)

SCORPIONFISH SUPER-HEAVY MISSILE GUNSHIP

After the shock of facing Imperial Super-heavy tanks in the Damocles crusade and later conflicts, the Tau have been putting
considerable effort in developing their own Super-heavy gunships. Lacking any other large vehicle as a basis, the Orca
Dropship has been heavily armed and armoured, effectively reducing its mobility down to being a surface-bound skimmer.
This variant is called Scorpionfish Missile Gunship and is carrying no less than a full complement of Hunter, Seeker, Tracer
and Smart Missiles, as well as the direct-firing Missile Pods. It has no single main weapon, but rather acts as platform for a
number of smaller systems, enabling it to engage any type of threat.
This kind of flexibility has proven to be a major asset in recent Tau campaigns. It may be a bit slower than the majority of Tau
units, but it also has skimmer capabilities, so negotiating difficult terrain normally isn’t an issue. It forms part of the stout
firing line at the back of the Tau army, anchoring the defences like a solid rock.

Code:
Type                 Speed     Armour    Close Combat    Firefight
War Engine        25cm         5+              6+                  6+

Weapon                                   Range         Firepower           Notes
2 x Twin-linked Missile Pod       45cm          AP4+/AT5+            -
2 x Hunter Missiles                   60cm          AA5+                     -
Variable Munitions Launcher – select the missile salvo type before firing each turn
Either: 4x Tracer Missiles         90cm           MW5+                Guided Missiles
Or: 6x Seeker Missiles             90cm           AT5+                 Guided Missiles
Or: 6x Submunitions Missiles    90cm           AP4+               Ignore Cover, Guided Missiles

Damage Capacity 3. Critical Hit Effect: The primary munitions stockpile is hit, igniting the payload internally and ripping the
vehicle apart from the inside. The Scorpionfish is destroyed, and any units within 5cm suffer a single hit on a 6+.

Notes: Skimmer, Reinforced Armour

Minor thing, but the Hero cruiser ought to have a picture of a hero... or get renamed protector ;)

2x AP4/AT5 and
6x AP4+ IC? Woof.

That'll make a mess of the nearest Guard Infantry Company.

I haven't been following the Tau development for a while now but I have to say I like where the list ended up.
