Assuming that the standard TS will be carrying drones again, how should this work? What are the mechanisms that are needed to support this, what should the TS entry look like?

Thanx!

Unit stats and carriage mechanisms have been worked out for the E series of proposals, and I think they're acceptable.

Should carry 3 units of drones, so a full squadron split over a wing of 2 tigersharks.

Notes section would need
Transport (3 drones), all Tigersharks in the formation count as one unit for the purposes of transporting a drone formation. The Tigershark may not land or conduct an assault as part of a ground attack, however the drones may disembark at the end of a ground attack approach move and fire with the tigersharks as normal.

Said better and shorter by someone please.

As it is in E1.09.

I agree that's a better arrangement of the text in E1.09

Well, I don't like the mechanism of splitting a formation across the squadron, (i.e. 3 fms on two aircraft). What happens when one a/c gets shot down?

So either one each or two per aircraft.

Thoughts?

Each Tigershark is carrying 3 Drone units.
The drone formation therefore loses 3 drones, recieves 3 BM's, has 3 units remaining, and breaks.

Simples.

Splitting them across two aircraft is fine.

Do you buy the drones separately or are they part of the TS purchase price?

In the E series they are seperate purchases.

The same as any other formation split across air or ground transports? Well bar marines in a thwak transport squadron as they don't break unless 2 out of three transports go down.

Would certainly mess up that insertion that turn, which is a good thing.

You mean units? The advantage of a 6 strong formation is its anti pop, the advantage of being across two transports is a disadvantage acting as a slight break on aggressive deployment.
