We use Remoras in formations of 2. They are aircraft which activate normally. They are only
armed with Twin Linked Burst Cannons (15cm, AA 6+, fixed forward) and a ML.
Stat line: 100pts - Fighter, Armour 5+ RA (Reinforced to represent the stealth tech)
Limit of 1 formation per 1500pts.
In the games we've played, they've been very useful for lighting up defended positions but if those positions had AA then there're usefulness was short lived (or they didn't usually activate on the 2nd turn due to BM's).
Due to them being aircraft, the enemy could defend against them and still use firpower on more important ground targets without the compromise of shotting at formations that, by themselves, could'nt do much damage but could be responsible for major attacks when supported by the GM's.

), this is the big thing. In the batrep with all the light units I was specifically trying to achieve "synergy" by combining fast units, coordinated fire and crossfires. Ideally, when other armies plan around Engages and Sustained Fires to achieve decisive results, the Tau could plan around Crossfires, using coord. fire to achieve it when regular maneuvering won't cut it.
But I was talking about aerial mines not Remora Drones ... Or am I again confused ? 
I'll figure something out ...
