Ok, CS and I want to keep you appraised of the status of the list and possibly head off lots of questions.

So the way this will work is that we will update this thread with the current status. As we progress, we'll post the status changes here.

So, to get everyone on the same page and save you from having to read through a number of threads, the progression to release will go like this:


1. Consolidate edits

2. Update list

3. Submit for Peer review

4. Final edits

5. Release for testing



Current status: We are at Step 2. The original target was Monday-ish to complete this step, but it is now looking like Tuesday-ish and maybe Wednesday-ish (I think I'm having a little too much fun with this  :whistle: )

Once we are at Step 3, the Peer review will take approximately 4-7 days. Step 4 should take less than a day and then we're good to release. If we can stick pretty close to that schedule, then we are looking at a release for this weekend, otherwise early to mid-next week.

If I was going to bet (which I don't), then I would say we're looking to be on track for mid-next week. It could be earlier, but that's my gut feeling at this point.

We'll strive to keep the team updated on a frequent basis, but I also don't want to waste your time with "Hey, we're still thinking about you guys" postings.

So hang in there, we are making progress.

Is this really just going to be v4.4.4?

That implies a minor tweak or change... if this is a new version, it should really be at *least* be v4.5, if not v5.0.

Agreed, 5.0 would be sensible given the potential scale of the changes, and addition of an assistant army champion.

Making this Tau v5.0 would lift us out of all the old discussions and set us on a new path.

I strongly feel, with the changes we've seen listed *and* Honda being added to Shas'El, that this would be the time to roll the version number ahead that far.

Again, we agree Zombo... it's almost scary!   :agree:

Just a quick update:

1. CS has finished the edits and will be sending to me shortly

2. I'll do a quick technical review (for typo's and such)

3. Then we'll send out the list for peer review, I'm guessing Thursday-ish

So, we're running a little behind, but not too badly.

Ok, CS got me the near final copy. We're discussing a couple of points (like real quick) and then we'll be off to Peer Review.

So...moving to Step 3 is looking really good right now.
