I've had enough. I'm tired of the relentless circles this army list spins in and I won't be contributing anymore to it. Two years or so of solely Tau play and arguing endlessly have taken their toll. I will most likely take 4.4.2 as gospel with a few small changes I see necessary for the list. I would like to share these with you but I know that I would be shouted down by a couple of individuals and ignored by others, so I won't even bother. If the list ever gets finished I will be happy for you all but I can't ever see a time in the near future this will occur so, sadly, it's time for me to quit this board as bashing my head against a wall is only fun for such a short time. You might see me browsing from time to time but I won't be posting anymore as I've said all I want to here.

CS - Thanks for the work you've put in so far. I hope this list can actually be finalised I really do. Good luck.

Uhm, why quitting the board? I mean, you can take a break from discussing Tau but I imagine a lot of people would like to see you contribute with those excellent painted mini's of yours.

I mean, I would.

On the discussion side: didn't follow it completely but I did see some dragging issues (but that isn't only with Tau, it is something I see in more armies and general rules).

Never give up hope Dobbsy,

Thanks for the effort that you have put in and I hope that you can see your way back again. I know that there are calls that Tau should be allowed back into the Tournament scene here in the UK so the existing players must believe that the list is very close to being finished.

I am sorry to read this. Please feel free to send me the ideas that you have for changes to the 4.4.2 version (aside from bringing back the Crisis MW shot, I know about that  :D ).

I am puzzled why you feel that the list is not close to finished. But, it does force me to prove you wrong.  :p  Thanks for your contribution.

Dobbsy, I don't believe you are quitting the board - just frustrated with it.  Otherwise you wouldn't be posting that you're leaving.  You would just leave.  Honestly, I don't know why you're upset since the recent discussions over the Tau haven't been that volatile IMO.  I dare say the most radical change suggested was my compartmentalizing the auxilias and you actually liked that idea. so what's got your panties in a knot?

If I quit the board every time I got frustrated I would have quit 50 times. :p

I would also add that, while I am happy to have essentially the same conversations many times, my viewpoints are unlikely to change on certain matters, particularly on issues that have been discussed in the past numerous times.

Basically, circles in discussion does not equal circles in development.

Although a solid set of lists/rules/etc. for any army is certainly desirable ... But always DWWFY ... And remember try not to take things too seriously.  They are just toy soldiers. Toy Soldiers that I covet, yes ... but ... This is supposed to be fun.  Now I'm not directing this to any one specifically ... But just have a good time ! :;):
