OK - robotic sentries deploy before anything else, that much is blindingly clear.
"and these units are placed at the start of the game, after
objectives are declared and before forces are set up (see page 124 of the main rule book, robotic sentries are deployed after
section 6.1.4 and before section 6.1.5)."
But where do they deploy? Anywhere on the whole board, including the enemy's deployment zone? Up to half the board (just like garrison in 6.1.5)? Or just in the regular army deployment zone of 15cm?
According the fluff "These are placed in the front lines
of an engagement"...which doesn't really answer the above question.
Apologies if this has been covered before. I looked around a bit, but didn't find anything on the topic. I'm guessing they should follow the garrison rules for zero move units, that is they can setup anywhere in your half of the table.

It's a fair enough question. You may deploy them anywhere on the board.
However, keep in mind that if you place them too close to a formation that doesn't have weaponry to support the markerlights, then you will be handing over your points with nothing to gain.
It does take some thinking.
