Is there any merit in allowing them scout but limiting them by giving a sort of slow-firing, representing 'dinner time' to keep the costs down? Difficult with infantry I know, but perhaps something along those lines.

So, will 'scount', 'infiltrate', and +1 to their cover saves special rule do them justice enough to be tried in armies? |
After giving it some thought, I'd prefer an invulnerable save (to represent their terrain-sneaking) rather then an additional special rule. We have enough of them as is!

Base kroot don't even fire right now. FF only. Which specific units would you have 'slow fire' and what would then make that unit worth taking at all then?
