I had a look at the TitanLegions Rolebook and compared them to the proposed stats in the E.A rulebook and the stats in the AMTL2.0 armylist.

And then i made some changes :D

This weapons are supposed to work with the modular weapons list made by Evil&Chaos for the AMTL but i haven't come up with a points cost for each weapon yet.

The modular weapons list is just optional, so why don't you post your changes to the official list?

Because many people believe that the experimental AMTL list went wrong with having every weapon equally capable, because:

- The resulting Titans cannot be used with other Imperial Armies without serious balance issues.

- You cannot have 'super' weapon systems ala the Titans of previous editions of Epic, because every weapon has to be roughly similar in capability to other weapons in its class. (So you end up with 'bland' titans).

This is intentionally, Titans are weaker than in previous editions. That's why they they have to be weaker in the AMTL list also. They still have enough choices left to make them competitive.

Yes, but this "super titans" will cost a great deal and therefore rather seldom to find in the army.

My weapon-proposal is NOT balanced against each other. Tho it only fits for the modular weapons costs armylist.

And i think NO Titan should have more than 2 weapons of the same typ. So no 3 QuakeCannons, only 2 maximum.

If you take an IG or a Marine army, you have no choice at all.

To give such a choice requires either modular costs, or configuration costs, so as to be balanced with an army that isn't the 'nerfed' AMTL 2.0.

I like the idea of weapons that are not balanced against each other.  So one weapon would cost more than another, correct?

It is a difficult prospect to balance AMTL (IMO) against other lists since most of this 'balance' comes from armies in the 3000-5000 point range.

My feeling is let the weapons costs differ and see how things roll from there.  Does that makes sense? ???

But i like to know what other people think about my weapons proposal? I wanted to be "true" to the feeling and effectiveness of the weapons from the TitanLegion game.

Well, a LOT of those weapons got upgrades (some of them 100% upgrades).  I reserve my opinion for when I can see the points breakdown.  :cool:

That's fine, but I've never really been interested in the AMTL army list... I'm interested in re-incorporating different configurations of Titans back into Epic, as was the original intention before SG was downsized.

BL: Interested to see points proposals.

You should make your comparison to the current modular weapon & cost, and justify the change (upgrade most likely!) accordingly.
