So... I finally managed to get my hands on an Emperor class Titan (Imperator to be exact) and I'd rather like to use it with my AMTL army at some point, if only to see how balanced the rules might be. I only have the web-rule-book so I don't have access to the 'collectors model' list, meaning I'll likely be using it as per the 'Giants Amongst Giants' article describes.. So I'm wondering, how much should one of these monstrosities cost? I was thinking 1000 points or so. Maybe closer to 1100. Any ideas?

Estimates generally range from 1200 to 1600, with most people running in the 12-1400 point range. A few go as low as 1000 or as high as 1900 or so.

Thanks Neal. Now all I have to do is convince my play group to let me run a Titan with unofficial stats, which is only mildly playtested. This'll be fun!

I would have no problem going up against an Emperor titan. At least it isn't a damn skimmer.

The one game I tried it for, I used 1200 and it seemed to work out ok. But then the guy I was playing is laid back and not overly worried about points. We just wanted to have fun and move lead around the table.

Thanks guys. Heh. I think I'll give it a try at 1200 points, assuming I can get enough people to play. Local group hasn't been doing much Epic lately, though a few of them own armies. If anyone down around the Baltimore/DC area wants to get together sometime to play, lemme know. I can travel any reasonable (think half-hour or hour drive tops) distance to play.

Ilushia: You might check out the Ironhands guys in that area. My understanding is some of them play Epic. Their website is just ironhands.com.
Utopia27 is in the Baltimore/DC corridor, as is Allen McCarley (former Q&A guy for E40K).
I would hope that the Baltimore Battle Bunker would have at least a token Epic presence, too.

Odd as this is going to sound, given that their US HQ is there, there is no battle bunker in Baltimore. The closest one is out in Glenn Burnie, right next to their shipping hub for the east coast. I don't know if they play Epic there any more, they used to have Epic minis on display but they didn't last time I was there (though they'd just finished moving the store at that point). I have no idea if anyone there plays Epic. But they DO sell Epic miniatures there, so it's certainly possible.
